Are you an Elusive Images stockist?

I've just started a new blogroll in the sidebar for Elusive Images stockist's blogs. On the Elusive Images website, you can find a list of where to buy our products, but as more and more shops are realising the benefits of blogging, I thought I'd start this list and invite all our stockists out there with blogs to get in touch and send your blog address to me.

The idea was inspired by Heather at Handmade Heaven in Chorley. She has a blog called Crafty Addicts where she regularly posts photos of cards, step by step projects and details of forthcoming classes. She has a class coming up on March 20th to make this Unicorn Diorama card based on one that I designed last year.

Trade Show Workshop Pieces by Glenda

As promised, here are photos of the pieces from the workshops that I ran at the ICHF trade show.

Firstly the Stampbord Sampler, which uses Glimmer Mists in the background and Claybord Inks on the four domino size pieces of Stampbord in the foreground.

This also uses paper from the Peacock Summer Party CD and a few die cut shapes which have been glimmer misted in coordinating colours. The main image is from one of our new Mardi Gras themeplates - watch out for those appearing with EI stockists soon.

This second piece was a tag featuring flowers from the butterfly collage themeplates. The flowers have been stamped onto Grungeboard, a la Lynn who first did this technique last year to great acclaim. It's not very clear in the photos that the petals curl up and stay rigid.

Here are some more examples of Lynn's grungeboard flowers from the stand.

And one or two other pieces of wonderful artwork:

Stay tuned for a full reveal of all the new stamps launched at the show!

Butterfly Blue by Sandra

Items used:
Butterfly Poppy & Daisy theme plates
Inktense pencils
Kaleidacolor ink pad - blue breeze
Stazon inkpad - Ultramarine
On a piece of white card I sponged a background with the two lightest shades of blue from the 'blue breeze'. Then using the same inkpad to ink up the collage stamp and stamped over the background.
Using 2 shades of blue, green and purple inktense pencils coloured the poppy seed heads and the butterfly. Then with a damp paintbrush went over to blend the colours. A couple of layers of colour were added.
The swirly corner stamp was done with stazon, and the butterfly stamped on a separate piece of white card. The butterfly was then coloured in the same as the collage but using a little more pressure on the pencils to give a stronger colour.
To finish a small amount of glitter glue was added to the collage on the butterfly wings and seed heads.

We have winners ...!

Well, what an overwhelming response. I don't think I've ever seen so many WOWs in a comments list before!

The random number generator has been hard at work, as has Adrian who kindly managed the process of splitting blog owner and non blog owners to choose four lucky winners.

Thank you to everyone who left a comment, and a big thank you to all the wonderful blog owners who helped to spread the word. I hope you've had some extra visitors to your blogs as a result, I know I certainly have found some new and fascinating blogs myself.

The first two winners are

Loftylass and Janet M.

Congratulations to you both, please can you get in touch to claim your prize.

And our two blogging winners are

Heather (Hev) and Phree!

Well done to you both and again, can you get in touch to claim your prize.

Enjoy the show!

Butterfly Collage Stamps

[EDIT: PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ANY MORE COMMENTS, THE PRIZES HAVE BEEN AWARDED ALREADY, THANKS.]

Let me introduce you to a couple of new stamp themeplates. Firstly we have the Butterfly Poppy Collage:

and its close relative, the Butterfly Daisy Collage:

Let me tell you - these have been great fun to work with, there's so much you can do with all the different elements. I've been making grungeboard butterflies and flowers just this evening with these and of course they are delightful for colouring in.

There have been one or two elements from these themeplates sneaking their way onto my blog over the last few weeks, but now that I've given them the go ahead, you may find more artwork with these appearing on our Designers' blogs in the near future.

These stamps have a starring role in my brand new TV show which will be launching on Tuesday next week, yes, that's February 10th, 1.00pm on Create and Craft - sky channel 671. If you don't have Sky, you may be able to watch the show on the Create and Craft website.

The show is called Glenda's Colourful Collage Stamping and features Derwent pencils and kaleidacolour inkpads as well. I thoroughly enjoyed making the show, it is definitely bursting with colour and has over 35 minutes of just me with no presenter!! No offence to Nigel who just about manages to get time to read out some product codes in between tutorials.

So how do you win a set? Simply leave a comment and I will pick two winners by random number generator on Tuesday. Comments are moderated which means they won't show up on the website straight away. As we are giving stuff away, we no longer allow anonymous comments, so you will need to be registered with Blogger in some way to leave a comment.

If you have a blog of your own, you stand an extra chance to win. Announce the launch of these stamps on your blog with a link back here and you will be entered into a separate draw to win one of the themeplates. If you include a link to your blog in your comment here, then it will make it easier for me to find you.

For a really good tutorial on how to put a link into a blog comment, take a look at Stamping Mathilda's instructions here.

I will pick winners on Tuesday - not sure when on Tuesday, but I'll try to do it early before the TV show so that if you win, you don't need to buy them from Create and Craft! If you miss the show, the stamps should be with Elusive Images stockists very soon as they are part of our spring collection launching at the Craft, Hobby & Stitch trade show next weekend.
