Winter Fairies & Abstract Fragments CAS Style (by Shirley)

Hello everyone,  I hope your weekend is going well.   It's been colder than normal this week in Ontario, Canada and we've had a little snow!  I'm not ready for Winter!

I have several 'quick make' cards today using the new stamps.

For the above card, I used TCW Starfall Stencil and Distress Inks to create the background.  I stamped the sentiment, "Magic Happens" and the fairy from December Fairy with black ink.  I used Stardust Stickles on her wings.

I used the same Fairy and stencil for the card below but added holly from the Winter Fairy Collection.

The next two cards I used fragments from Abstract Fragments.

For the above card I used TCW Mod Spirals stencil in the background using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink.  Next I inked over top with TCW Butterflies stencil and while the stencil was in place I stamped with a fragment from Abstract Fragments using Seedless Preserves.  Glenda called it 'stampencilling':)    'Best Wishes' is from Loving Sentiments.

For the above card I used the same stencil and another fragment from Abstract Fragments and the same Distress Inks.   The sentiment is from Birthday Words.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day!
Shirley

  5. It's the second one I can't get over Shirley - the way those jagged stars echo the shape of the holly fragments which frame this so beautifully. The touch of green you used with the ribbon adds real depth to the matting & I love the way the bow is placed on the side of the green stars in the background. A very unusual Christmas card! Your combination of that fragment with that particular stencil on the final one is intriguingly effective not to mention the way you used a different fragment with your stampencilled butterfly echoing the shapes of the same stencil.

  6. Here are four simple but very effective cards. It shows just how easily mixed and matched these fragments are, used together with some lovely stencils and Distress Inks, and not forgetting that pretty fairy with a touch of holly, these are all super cards!
