Spring Daffodils and A Regal Bird (by Asha)

Good morning, all. I have 2 projects to share with you today. Both cards feature stamps from the brand new Spring Bird - Daffodil stamp sheet. Without a stamped sentiment, these cards will work for any occasion.

The first project showcases the lovely daffodil. I did some masking and stamping to get the flowers in overlapping clusters. I used Distress Inks to water colour the image and background.

On my second card, I created a frame by repeat stamping the smaller accents stamps from the Spring Bird - Daffodil sheet and heat embossing in gold. I used watercolour pencils on the image.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're having fun with these gorgeous stamps. If you want more ideas, come back often for more inspiration from the Design Team. As always, details of how I made these cards will be available on my blog .

Beijinhos,
Asha

  3. Lovely for Spring . We're enjoying a few days in NYC for our 45th anniversary and the birds sing despite a brisk 34 degrees F .

  4. Your daffodil clusters are beautifully realistic & I particularly like that ribbon trim which embellishes & grounds the design strikingly with your stitching echoing it too. The matting is so effective & again echoes that ribbon trim so successfully. Your second card illustrates how versatile the stamp sheets are. the little frame you created really draws the eye inwards to your focal image & there's such a pleasing balance to the whole design which rests the eye. I particularly like the way your image extends beyond that 'square' perimeter.

  6. I love that mass of daffodils Asha with the pretty ribbon along the bottom and beautiful stitching round the edge. I also like the way you have added two different colours to the background which gives the appearance of earth and sky. The second has that pretty bird with the foliage trailing over the edges of the square and the frame is meticulously stamped with perfect lining up and looks so gorgeous in the gold. x
