Spring Bird on a blossom branch (by Debbie)

Good morning.
A card and a tag from me today using the bird on a branch from Spring Bird Daffodil
My card is a design that I've admired for a while and I put twist onto it.

I added the pink that highlights the flowers on the branches. This little bird is lovely to colour and suits many colours.

My tag is from the Prima Hancock Park Tag Pad that I bought some time ago.
I stamped direct to the tag and coloured the flowers, berries and branch. The bird was stamped onto white card and coloured then cut out and glued. I stamped on the bottom of the tag and trimmed a fancy edge. This tag is going into my tag book that's a work in progress.

Thanks for visiting
Debbie

    1. The photo was difficult to take without a shadow, I didn't use acetate.

  6. Both your projects are lovely, I would really appreciate a little more info on the card though, if possible. I can't quite make out all the details - did you cut a circle from the front and put acetate in there? Or is the bird stamped inside?

    1. I cut the circle out of the white card first then lined up the stamp onto a piece of white card then mounted on pink and is glued inside. I hope this helps. Debbie xx

  7. Two lovely makes Debbie, and the card is such an unusual design and works beautifully with the bird on the branch behind the aperture, and love the way you have left it open at the side in the shape of a 'c'. The tag is so pretty with the background script and one of the small stamps used as an edging, and then the pretty bird on the top. What a great idea to have lots of tags saved in a book. x

  10. Taking your tag first my eye was caught by your secondary stamping on the bottom to create that border - a really super idea & utterly effective. The stamping of the bird & branch directly onto the tag whilst then stamping onto paper & cutting the bird out adds a lovely touch of dimension & really services to bring the bird into focus. Your card is intriguing & I love the detail of the woven frame. Your added pink shading on the bottom of the background panel to the aperture is superbly effective in not only highlighting the blossoms but adding warmth to the panel & tieing it in with the deep pink framing.

  11. Wowza, love the design of your card. It is so unique, and the pink really pops. Your tag is very nice too. The fancy edges and layered sentiment make this a very intricate tag.
