Introducing our new Design Team Members (by Lesley)

Well here we are at the beginning of a new month and what better way to celebrate than to introduce you to our new Design Team ladies, but I am going to keep you in suspense just a little longer!

First I would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply to be part of the Chocolate Baroque Design Team. We had a huge response to our DT call and the standard was absolutely mind blowing. Gave the judging panels a few headaches I can tell you. There are so many talented people out there and I truly wish we could have said 'Yes' to every applicant. However we couldn't and so, with a very large drum roll, please meet the three ladies who are joining our team as from today.

They are Zoe Russell, Dominike Turpin and Anne Waller. Huge round of applause please!

We are all so excited that they are joining us and judging by their responses when they were given the good news I think they are a mite pleased too. I would also like to thank them for sitting on their secret for quite a few weeks, very difficult when you are bursting to share good news. Anyway the cat is out of the bag now and I am going to introduce each of them in turn. I asked them all the same questions and here are their responses.

Zoe Russell

The first stamp set by Chocolate Baroque I bought was:
Christmas Flourish A4 set.

My favourite style of stamp is a hard one to answer
I'm quite fickle with my styles, however I like versatility with a stamp, I'm not big on colouring in. I love creating colourful backgrounds and trying different techniques using different mediums. So a stamp that can sit nicely on my background without having to colour it in but can equally sit nicely CAS style. I love butterflies, flowers, sentiments with funky fonts, silhouettes, too many to think of lol! It would probably be easier to tell you what I "don't like"

Oh now! My wish list, I could say "all of them" lol but that wouldn't be true, so I've whittled it down to -
Positive Beauty clear stamp set
Positive Pants clear stamp set
Butterfly Dreams
Butterfly Poppy Collage
Dusky Damask
Fantastic Florals
Tangled Fragments

Oh gosh the hardest bit, describing myself in a sentence -
I'm quite quiet and thoughtful, I'm told I'm funny and friendly; I'm enthusiastic about crafting, I love colour, techniques and not too much faffing, I like quick results.

Dominike Turpin

What was the first Chocolate Baroque stamp set(s) you owned :
Just those you send me last week.

What are your favourite style of stamps:
I’m found of beautiful stamps with a lot of details except naive design. I like texture.

What Chocolate Baroque Stamp set(s) are on your wish list :
I saw on your shop beautiful stamps like your selection for March, April, July...

Describe yourself in a single sentence:
I’m Dominike, a French woman, married with 2 children and a grand son and a grand daughter. Cheerful and dynamic, I practice aquatic sport, fitness and biking. I like to live near the ocean. I like mixed media which I teach.

Anne Waller

What was the first Chocolate Baroque stamp set(s) you owned:
The Autumn Hedgerow set

What are your favourite style of stamps:
I love scene building, particularly landscapes or underwater seascapes, and adore anything Steampunk or Fantasy. I also love vintage, Oriental and Indian styles, so the collections from Chocolate Baroque tick all the boxes for me.

What Chocolate Baroque Stamp set(s) are on your wish list:
WOW – I don’t think that there is anything that I don’t want. I think I will have to get the Steampunk Funky Fish and Seaworld sets next as they will mix & match with other underwater world sets that I have. I also love this month’s tropical fish scene in ‘A Year of Stamping Issue 7’.

Describe yourself in a single sentence:
I love stamping and experimenting with many different media; paper crafts, 3D items, gift boxes & bags, home d├ęcor and wall art, fabric decorating and jewellery making too.

Well there you are, three wonderful additions to our team and we can't wait for you to see the projects they have come up with for their debut.

Congratulations Zoe, Dominike and Anne you are now officially part of the Chocolate Baroque Design Team and I hope all our fabulous readers and followers will join me in welcoming the girls on board.
