Using the Peach Bellini as the base colour takes the purple tone out of the Cranberry and draws the colours together, and the bluey green of the Stream gives it a lift. Dye inks being used with the Gelli Plate instead of paints for me also makes it much more appealing.

Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02889103826921393113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3240263410619195419.post-59067214706784780152013-11-02T16:27:01.955+00:002013-11-02T16:27:01.955+00:00Your angel's aqua edging really highlights the...Your angel's aqua edging really highlights the little streaks of aqua in the background beautifully. Your red mat picks up the other background colour & the two in (aqua edging plus red mat) tie the whole design in beautifully. The combination of Gothic script with the traditional angel image put me in mind of Advent, add the woodgrain plus gold & my brain was travelling back into the time of Gothic cathedrals…….. Like you I didn't like the sound of painty mess so have avoided the Gelli completely. Now inks is another matter - very interesting indeed.
Paula (PEP)Paula (PEP)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17869890939386052501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3240263410619195419.post-8746285449832264232013-11-02T13:38:43.462+00:002013-11-02T13:38:43.462+00:00Love your card and that background is fab
