I have been inspired by a "Spring Love Song" that I heard few days ago and Chocolate Baroque has the right stamps for giving life to my project.
Step by Step :
1. Stamp with Versafine Onyx Black the single stamp Spring Awakening on a white cardstock card.
2. Colour the figure with water colour pencils and blend with a Watercolour brush
3. Stamp twice with Versafine Onyx Black the heart from the set Music Fanfare and colour them as
done at point 2.
4. Blend lightly and randomly the background with Distress Ink Pad Worn Lipstick
5. Stencil some small hearts around the figures using Distress Ink Pad Antique Linen
6. Stamp with Versafine Onyx Black the sentiment of set Mackintosh Sentiments
Your mat is now ready and you can assemble your card.
Thank you for passing by.

Musical Dreams (by Asha)
Good morning, friends. It's my turn to bring you some Chocolate Baroque goodness. Today I'm dabbling in a new-to-me technique: mixed media. This is pretty much a stab in the dark for me as my projects are mainly stamp and colour. But I forged ahead and ended up with this:
1. Stamp the music sheet fragment from Music Fanfare A5 sheet with Archival Jet Black ink.
2. Apply thin coat of White Gesso to knock back the music sheet.
3. When completely dry, apply Distress Crayons or Gelatos and blend with finger.
4. Enhance colours around the edges with Distress Inks.
5. Stamp the focal images from Music Fanfare A5 sheet with Archival Jet Black ink and colour with pencils.
6. Colour some texture paste with Distress Stain and, with TCW stencil, apply around the edges.
7. When completely dry, add highlights with a white gel pen and extra embellishments with Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accent.
If, like me, you are new to the world of mixed media art, I hope you will be inspired by my simple maiden project and give it a go. The important thing is to have fun with colours and textures.
As always, more details on tools and products used are available on my blog. And be sure to stop by often for more fabulous projects by the rest of the team. Have a brilliant day!

Canticum Flores (by Asha)
Good morning, friends. It's my turn to share a project with you featuring a stamp from the new floral single stamps collection. You have seen my team-mates create some amazing projects. Each stamp in this set is beautifully drawn with so many delicate details. They are perfect for colouring and they make striking focal images on cards.
Today I bring you a card showcasing the new Flora Musica stamp. I'm calling this the "Canticum Flores" - Singing Flowers. In keeping with the musical theme, I've paired it with a gramophone from an older set called Music Fanfare.
Just 5 easy steps to make this card:
1. Stamp the images with Versafine Vintage Sepia
2. Colour the images with Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.
3. Ink the background with Distress Inks.
4. Matt and adhere to card base.
5. Add sequins and subtle shimmer with a few strokes of Wink Of Stella Bush Tip marker.
All these products are available from the Chocolate Baroque on-line store.

Flowers Galore (posted by Claire)
Good morning, Claire here with two cards to share today, both using some of this month's new releases .
This first card features the beautiful Flora Musica, I've coloured the image with Graph'It markers and as I didn't have an oval die to fit I went for it and cut it out. It was a wee bit wonky but I dusted on a little Black Soot distress ink and distressed with a craft knife. I drew round the image on black card and cut that out too, I create the background with Festive Berries and Aged Mahogany distress inks applied to my craft mat, misted with water and then swooshed the card through a few times. Once that was dry I stamped with some of the stamps from Music Fanfare and again distressed the edges before mounting on black card. To finish off I've added some faux gold pearls in the corners, a shabby red seambinding bow and a brass button from my stash.
My second card features Harlequin Bouquet, I've got a bit of an addiction for harlequin stamps so I'm sure this one will be a firm favourite. I began by creating the background, I used black texture paste through a harlequin stencil on white card. Once that was dry I distressed with Black Soot distress ink and a craft knife and layered it on black card. I stamped the focal image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Graph'It Markers.
I cut the image out, distressed with a kraft knife and layered it with 3d foam, adding a bow and paper flower to finish off.
I hope you're having as much fun with this month's new stamps as we are.
Thanks for visiting today
Claire xx

Colourful Punk (by Lesley)
One of the sets featured on the last TV show was Steampunk Butterfly, a set that can be used in so many different ways. Today I want to share a DL tag with you which I made some time ago. It shows two of the images from this set which rarely get a look in, the rose stem and rose bud. And as you know I love colour so get out the sunglasses!
- The background was created on a DL piece of stamping card using the acrylic block technique and Dylusions Spray inks
- The music image from Music Fanfare was stamped around the edges with Versafine Onyx Black.
- The two rose images were stamped on another background, which was made on a self adhesive label with spray inks using the acrylic block technique. Only the heads of the flowers were cut out.
- Finally the roses were stamped on the main background and the rose heads stuck over the top.
Once again a self adhesive label allowed me to introduce more colour to the original background without the need to mask. I really do enjoy using these techniques and hope you will give them a try.
More super designs are still to come from the girls so please visit us again tomorrow.

Spring Bird Daffodil - By Florence
Hi everyone
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.
The Spring Bird Daffodil Set is one of three sets of rubber stamps released this month. They are all fabulous sets and the epitome of Spring Time. I don't know about you but I am definitely looking forward to Spring arriving this year. It's been knocking on the door for a couple of weeks now and will certainly be met with a warm welcome.
Below are two of the projects I made using the amazing Spring Bird Daffodil set. I don't want anyone to miss out so please do check out the multi-buy offer which can be seen here. The designs are exquisite.
Below are two of the projects I made using the amazing Spring Bird Daffodil set. I don't want anyone to miss out so please do check out the multi-buy offer which can be seen here. The designs are exquisite.
To make this tag
Stamp the large daffodil and mask
Stamp the large daffodil again and mask
Stamp the large daffodil for a third time and mask
Stamp the Bird so it appears behind the daffodils and mask
Leave all of the masks on
Pat some Distress Ink on a piece of plastic sheet or acrylic block and spritz with water.
Swish the stamped tag around in the diluted ink and dry
Repeat the above process using a different color Distress Ink and dry
Remove the masks and color your stamped images
Finally, add a small sentiment.
Tip: I used masking fluid on both of these projects.
To make this card
Stamp the bird and mask
Pat some Distress Ink onto a piece of plastic sheet or acrylic block and spritz with water
Swish the card around in the diluted ink and leave to dry
Stamp the music panel so that it appears behind the bird (I used Lavender Memento ink)
Remove the mask from the bird and color the image
Make up the card as seen using some pretty papers for mat and layering.
Unless otherwise stated, I used Black Archival Ink to stamp my images on both of these projects.
That's all from me today. I hope you like the projects.
Thank you for looking.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Guest post - Floral Violin by Mary Draper
Today I would like to introduce you to our Guest designer, Mary Draper. Mary has designed this beautiful, delicate card which I know you are going to enjoy
Materials:
Neenah
card or other stamping card
Memento - Tuxedo
Black
Lilac
mirri card
Promarkers
– Forest Green, Pear, Aubergine, Amethyst, Orchid, Magenta, Cerise, Pink Carnation, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Tulip Yellow - or marker/pencils of your choice
Distress
Inks – Dusty Concord, Picked Raspberry
Ink
Duster, sponge or blending tool
White
cardstock
Dry
transfer lettering
- About 4cm in from the edges of the Neenah card lightly draw a square measuring 8cm with a pencil. Stamp sround this on each side using Tuxedo Black and the floral spray image, judging where the end leaf and the beginning of the spray are. Rub out the pencil lines and cut out a square around the image. This will probably measure about 13.5 cm. Tip: You may want to try this out on some copier paper first so that you can practise the spacing.
- Using Tuxedo Black stamp the violin in the centre of the design
- Use Promarkers, or markers/pencils of your choice, to colour the image.
- Take the ink duster, sponges or a blending tool, and the distress inks, and add colour to the background.
- Cut out a square of mirri card. This should have a side length 8mm longer than your image square.Cut the white card stock to form a rectangle 6 inch by 12 inch. Score down the centre and fold to form a 6 inch square card.
- Assemble the card as shown. (Square card, mirri card and finally image)
- Apply the dry transfer lettering in a wavy line to imitate floating musical notes.
A big thank you from us for your wonderful design Mary. Your idea for stamping the flower circle is excellent, will definitely have to try that one myself. I know Mary would welcome your comments and if you want to see more of her gorgeous artwork then please visit Drapers Creations.

another musical note.........
Hello there,
The 2nd one made with the 'Music Fanfare' sheet. I have used the center step card model. You can find the video tutorial from Glenda here. I have used my Derwent pencils for colouring and sponged the rectangle with Colorbox pigment inks. Also the panels with the hearts are sponged. Beneath I have put some mirri paper. The flowers are from Crealies.(no.6) Just added some gemstones and if you take a closer look you can see a bit of rainbow colours in the top of the card. I have a rainbow crystal hanging in front of my window and when the sun is shining it adds those colours on my photo's.
Hope you have a lot of inspiration by now made by all the girls of the DT team! So enjoy your stamping,

Music is my first love and it will be my..............
Hello there,
Music is my first love and it will be my last.....a great song from John Miles. And indeed music is a very important part of my life, so this sheet is fantastic to play with.
I want to show you my creation with that beautiful music sheet. I kept the stamping very simple, so it will be great for a beginner. This time a diamond folded card. I have used an embossing folder for the musical notes and sponged it with Distress Ink. Also used the Crealies flowers/leaves and clef. As you can see I stamped the flowers with the music notes stamp. I stamped the instrument with black and gave some accents with a white pencil. I stamped the clef onto the other areas which you can see in between. Hope to have inspired you and see you next time,
