Sending a bouquet (by Corine)

Well here we are in 2017 and we are welcoming back Corine in her guest position for January, I knw she has some wonderful projects lined up for you so here we go with her very first of this New Year.

Here I am again. In January I will post three times a card as guest designer. I am very pleased to do this. My first project is a card with one of the Ornament stamps on a Gelli Plate Background. 

I used stamps from the sheets:

Palm Fan Baroque Ornament

Gothic Fragments

Mackintosh Sentiments

• Create a background with acrylic paint on a Gelli Plate. 
• Stamp the ornament from the Texture Fragment sheet with Brilliance ink. I used Lightning Black. Use a template with leaves and sponge Memento Luxe Olive Grove. 
• Sponge Distress ink Seedless Preserves around your background paper and stamp the text with black ink.
• Emboss the Palm Fan Baroque Ornament with gold embossing powder and colour it with Zig markers.

Summer Fair lady (by Miranda)

Hi there,

When I first saw the new designs of these women faces ...I was in love........so I was very happy to be able playing with them and this is my first one.........she is called 'Summer Fair' and I have combined her with one of the lovely ornament stamps called ' Palm Fan Baroque ornament'. 

I stamped the lady using light coloured inks than masked her and stamped the ornament using a grey ink. 

Than the fun part started.....colouring both with color pencils, took me a while..........When I was finished coloring I gave some accents using a gold gelly pen and a white marker.

Hope I did inspire you with this one and I will be back with more of these lovelies soon.........in the mean while enjoy all the beautiful artwork of the DT!

palm fan 2

 Two slightly different takes today using the lovely new baroque ornaments stamps.
For the first card, I wanted to use up some leftover background pieces, using the palm fan embossed in white then coloured with turquoise and leaf green brusho powders.
I cut strips of background, cut streamer edges on the bottom of the strips, then glued them onto white card. The mat was a matching piece of turquoise card, and the base card is 20cm sqaure white card blank.
 I used a darker piece of brushoed card in similar colours to stamp and emboss the palm fan in black, cut it out, added it with foam pads.

The second uses the teardrop stamp as well as the palm fan, but only bits of them!
I had several stamped images that didn't quite work with the brusho backgrounds, and this way I could still use them.
Background was a piece of plain brusho, using leaf green and turquoise again, and a think black mat. Wording is from words of inspiration, stamped in black versafine
( I won't argue if you think it is more of a nightmare, it was one of those 3am ideas!)
I cut out the large fans from the palm fan images and the flowery edges from the teardrop images, and glued them down to represent flowers.
Base card blank is white 15cm square
I hope this has given you some different ideas on how to use these lovely stamps (or even how not!)

Palm Fan Dream (by Julie)

Hello and welcome. I hope you are loving the new Ornament stamps this month. I have had so much fun playing with them and today I have two creations to show you, made with the pretty Palm Fan Baroque Ornament

My first card is on a base of Kraft card, which I have then matted with a piece of wood effect, embossed card. I decided to keep it pale so just sponged over some Old Paper Distress ink.

The Palm Fan was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder, onto Kraft card, coloured with Polychromas pencils and then cut out with a circle die. I inked up the stamp with Potting Soil Archival ink and stamped twice onto shrink plastic. Before shrinking I punched a small hole in each of the images so that I could attach a jump ring to each piece, making it easier to attach the cord. Once the beads and shrink plastic Ornaments were threaded I attached the cords to a hat pin with 3 more jump rings. Both ends of the hat pin have been secured with foam pads and the main image placed over the top.

My second design is a bit of a play on the Dream Catcher theme. As before I have stamped and embossed with white powder onto Kraft card and coloured with Polychromos pencils followed by die cutting with a circle. I then punched three holes along the bottom of the circle for the jump rings, so the acetate feathers could be attached. 

The feathers are from Dawn Chorus which I stamped with purple Staz-on and then cut out. I punched a hole in each and attached the jump rings so that the cord could be attached.

The Dream sentiment is from Artistic Expressions and the background is Dusty Concord and Abandoned Coral sponged over the card using a piece of kitchen towel.

Textured Ornaments (by Judith)

Hello everyone, I have two cards to share with you today, using the current stamps of the month.

I have used the Palm Fan Baroque Ornament stamp to create my first card, creating a wrinkle free distress background using a palette of blues and greens. I added a stencil over the top of the background. The sentiment is from the Birthday Words stamp set.

For my second card, I created a wrinkle free distress background as before, using a colour combination of blues and purples, and used the Tangled Baroque Ornament stamp as my focal point. The sentiment is from the Words of Gratitude stamp set.

palm fan

Good morning everyone, today I have two brusho cards using the new palm fan stamp - I love these new versions of mandala stamps, and kept my first efforts simple.
For both of them I started by stamping several times with versamark ink on heavy card and embossing with white powder - if you have a clean versamark pad (mine are definitely on the black side of grey!)  you can just emboss with clear powder to get the same effect.
For the first card I also stamped the image in black on a spare bit of the card and clear embossed it. Both pieces of card were then sprinkled with turquoise and lime powder , spritzed with water and left to dry.
The larger bit was cut down to fit a 6"x6" white card blank with a dark turquoise mat, then the separate image was cut out and added with
sticky pads

For the second card I stamped the first image and black embossed it, then stamped the others around it and embossed with white powder. Brushos were lemon, orange and ost red this time.
Base card is still the 6"x6" white, with a black mat, and this time I coloured the edge of the image with a black marker pen to add a bit more definition.

Fabulous Ornaments launch today (by Lesley)

I am so excited to be launching some gorgeous stamps today.  Baroque Ornaments is a collection of six individually cling mounted stamps each with their own unique pattern.  These are loosely based on the traditional mandalas but Sue has used her imagination to bring them right up to date.

I am sure you just want to see them now to here we go with the first three.

From left to right there is Tangled Baroque Ornament, Dots 'n Stripes Baroque Ornament and Palm Fan Baroque Ornament.

The second three look like this

and are called Teardrop Silhouette Baroque Ornament, Teardrop Baroque Ornament and Palm Fan Silhouette Baroque Ornament.

I think Sue has done her usual magic and created some stunning images. Each individual stamp is cling mounted and cut out ready for you to starting playing as soon as you get them out of the packet. And of course we have this full collection available as a money saving multi-buy if you really can't decide.

Here is a sneaky peak at a gorgeous sample from Zoe which shows the Teardrop Silhouette stamp off to perfection.

I hope you have as much fun with these as the Design Team, who have been colouring and inking and creating more exciting samples for you to show off the new stamps.

I think that Zoe has chosen a wonderful sentiment for her card, it eptomises what stamping is all about. It really is an adventure into creating your own art and seeing just how imaginative you can be.
