Hi Folks, I have a slightly different project for you today using the
Vintage Tags in the printables section. I have made a luminary using a stamp from the
Reindeer Landscape stamp set, which I have stamped and embossed four times onto vellum, using white embossing powder. I coloured the reverse of the image with Splash inks. I then printed the extra large tags onto thick card, and cut an aperture into each of them, large enough for the stamped image to show through. I have used some aluminium tape to attach the tags together, which I have embossed and coloured with black paint, to give it an aged feel. I have then simply added some ribbon through a couple of punched holes in the top of the tags to form a closure.
This is what the luminary looks like when it is lit up, creating a warm glow:
The white embossing adds a very pastel feel to the whole project:

ReplyDeleteThe soft colouring of the image glows beautifully when lit & there is something inherently classy about the use of white with browns, silvers & blacks. The ribbon finishes it beautifully.
