Quirky Dwellings part 3 by Zoe

Good morning Lovelies and welcome to my final post for this month featuring the fabulous stamps from last months “The Craft Store TV” shows.

So I’ve used my Gel Press for most of these creations, either as the backgrounds or Mat and layering, apart from my cheeky little ornament at the bottom which is an acrylic disc that I used Alcohol Inks to colour.
The third project down I actually stamped with a very sticky glue and used foil over the top.

Thank you once again for spending the time to visit today, I appreciate your comments.
Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Time to Re - Visit

Time to Re - Visit

Today we re - visit these lovely houses.

It was more than a pleasure to re-visit these lovely stamps, they really are very versatile.

I have used different mediums to colour but in the main they have been stamped with Versafine inkpads in either grey or black.
Backgrounds have been coloured using Distress Inkpads smooshed onto a glass mat and applied with a paintbrush.

To extend the Bridge House I used a mask using the Masking Tissue.
This was also used in the making of the Turret House which also used a sentiment from Life Is So Much Better.

Thank you for looking in today

Love Doreen

Home is where the magic begins by Rachel

Hello there, Rachel here today with my final visit for the month - this time I have used older stamps from Chocolate Baroque - the Turret House and the Bridge House.

My tag was made by stamping the image several times on card and colouring it in using watercolour pencils then fussy cutting and decoupaging it up - the background to the tag is distress oxides.
I do love this stamp - it reminds me of both Russia and Disney all at the same time! This ceramic piece was painted in glazes before being fired in the kiln.

Hope you have a great day!

Be strong, be comforting, be loving by Brenda

Morning everyone, today is my Birthday so I am secretly pretending the day isn't happening!!

But I do need to share some cards with you and above I've gone all green with Dutch HouseTurret House, and Bridge House, all stamped onto card sprayed with three shades of green Oxide Spray, cut out and arranged on an old book page. The base piece is stamped with Large Crackle Background. The sentiment strips are from Italian House.

A landscape DL card, a background built up with Pan Pastels and the trees from Orchard Design a Tree stamped several times to create a woodland scene.

This is Cotswold Stone another of Kim's new quirky houses and such fun to work with. I stamped the house onto an Oxide background and added a bit of shading. Foe the frame I stamped the flower from the Fuchsia set, coloured in and cut round the tops of the central ones and then used a die to cut the aperture (placing the bottom of the square behind the flowers). The sentiment is from my Life is so much Better set.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

dreamy homes (by Veronica)

Two more samples using the gorgeous houses by Kim Moody to share today.

The Luv shack is the first one, stamped onto a distress ink background using black versafine ink, and again onto white card. The image on white card was coloured with pencils, then the main part of the house was cut out. I added colour to the hedge, balcony ,chimney and stepladder on the distress background before gluing the coloured house onto the background. The sentiment from Italian House was stamped in black on white card, cut out and edged with black pen.

The second card was an 8" square blank, with a distress ink background using hickory smoke and peeled paint and splashed with water.

The Urban Chic house was stamped at the bottom left and the Bottle and Jug at the top right - both left uncoloured as if through a mist.

The word letters were  cut from gold metallic card and glued diagonally across the card.

Pink Blossom CAS Card (by Tracy)

Hello everyone, this is my third and last post for this month, and here is another creation from May's show. So to create this I gently brushed some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Inks down one side of my card. Using the Orchard Design a Tree stamp set I stamped it off the edge down one side. Using the blossom stamps in Versafine Clair Pink Delight I then added the blossoms. I added a sentiment from Life is so much Better.

Thank you for looking.

Happy crafting.

There's No Place Like Home

Hello, I am sharing some more cards from The Craft Store show in May.

These feature some more of the wonderful, quirky houses by Kim Moody and Orchard Design a Tree

My first card uses Urban Chic. Such a fun house.

For my backing I used the last piece of my master board that Lesley did as a Facebook live last year. I stamped the house with Versamark and embossed in white. I coloured using water colour inks. I then masked the house and stamped the trees and added foliage.  When it was all dry I removed the mask.

My next card uses the Luv Shack.

I stamped the house with Black Archival ink and used coloured pencils and a blending solution. For the flowers around the arch and across the house I used some flocking powder to give some texture. I added some distant hills using some torn paper and Distress Ink. I added a sentiment from Life is So Much Better.

This card uses the  Bottle and Jug set.

Again, I stamped in black and coloured with pencils which I blended. I stamped and cut out the fence panels a couple of times to extend the front. I then added some colourful bunting.

My last card today uses the Cotswold Stone set.
I kept this very simple by stamping in Brown Archival and using brown and sepia pencils. I stamped the two trees in front of the house and used a peach colour ink for the blossom I finished with some  clouds using a stencil and a sentiment from the Dutch House set

Thanks for looking

Bottle, Jug and a Cup of Tea! (by Judith)

Hello everyone, I hope that you are keeping well. I have a project to share with you from last month's TV shows on The Craft Store.

I found a background in my stash that I thought would be perfect to use with Kim Moody's Bottle and Jug stamp, and so my card was dictated by these colours. I had coloured the original background with tea and added an image from Baroque Ephemera 1. I then dry brushed the background with pale blue acrylic paint.

I stamped the main image onto a smaller piece of tea dyed drawing cartridge to match the main background. I masked the image and stamped a tree from Trees a Crowd, and added blossoms from Orchard Design a Tree stamp set. I added a few splats using a stamp from the Timeless stamp set. I removed the mask and coloured the image with pencils.

These images have been an absolute delight to work with and are so versatile. I hope that you have enjoyed seeing our projects and have lots of ideas to try using the stamps yourselves.

Thanks for stopping by, stay safe and take care.

Quirky Dwellings part 2 by Zoe

Good morning Lovelies and welcome to my second post for this month featuring these fabulous buildings by the very talented Kim Moody.

My first card is actually stamped onto a Gel Press print, I just thought it it was quirky enough, I cut circles to create the spotlights, I’d also masked the Pub after I’d stamped it and stamped the tree that was featured in the shows.

Simple Watercolour card and markers to creat my second card which was mounted onto a Gel Press print.

I made this tag card and just coloured it in with pencils and mounted onto a Gel Press print.

Thanks for visiting today, I wanna you like my creations.
Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Scrapbook Page (by Julia)

Hello everyone - trust you are all keeping safe and well.

I thought today I would do an 8" x 8" scrap book page.

For the background I have used Distress Oxides.

Using the top of a tree stamp - stamp border round page.

Stamp tree three times onto a piece of white card using black Versafine ink.

Then cut trees out into circles using a punch and colour with Oxide inks.

Ink circles in brown.

Mount photo onto brown card.

Glue to left hand side and circles to the right.

Add date and place tag for photo.

One of our favourite places to walk - and it is just up the road!

Take care - happy crafting.

Best regards

Julia

Orchard Designs

 Orchard  Designs

Using a blank wood plaque and Versafine Clair Acorn and the taller of the trees from the Orchard Design a Tree set, which I slightly extended. A dye inkpad was used to colour the sky applied with a stencil brush. The heads of the flowers were also coloured from a dye inkpad and paintbrush. The foliage on the tree was stamped with a Plum Archival Inkpad. Both the stems of the flowers and grassy area used a green inkpad and paintbrush. The white gel pen daisies were left to dry before applying 2 coats of Deco Art  Decoupage medium to seal.

This card needs a little pre preparation I have used something called
' Goosebumps' Which is basically a clear medium that remains raised when dry this was flicked onto the card not sprayed. Anything you have in your stash that does the same will do equally as well.

Once dry you can carry on as normal.
Using a mix of Distress Inkpads, for the sky I have used ;
Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Crackling Campfire, which have been applied to the card using a soft brush randomly building up the colour to give the illusion of a sunset.

The trees and hills have been stamped and using a torn piece of paper and soft brush to build the colour for the hills from the really dark working the colour from the brush without adding more colour to build the distant hills , if more colour is required on brush use the brush very lightly or using a scrap of card apply the dark ink to be used at a later date. The trees and hills used a Versafine Clair Inkpad 'Pinecone', stamping the foliage until no ink remains on the stamp which will add depth. Buff the colour from your raised dots and although some will stay most will come off and mount onto  Craft Card for contrast.

This card is so very simple, again using a remnant of the above card with the raised medium. I used a circle of  Masking Tissue. Then using Distress Inkpads in colours Shaded Lilac, Faded Jeans and Hickory Smoke using circular motions fading the colour out to the lovely soft grey. The Hills were coloured using Black Soot with a make up sponge and a torn piece of copy paper. Then the tree was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

So there concludes three relatively quick and simple cards from the  Orchard Dress a Tree set.

Thank you for looking in today

Love Doreen

Bottle and Jug and Luv Shack by Rachel

Hello there! Rachel here today with a few more samples from the May shows featuring the new stamps from Kim Moody - this time I am showing what I did with two stamps - Bottle and Jug and also Luv Shack.

This first card features the Bottle and Jug - I was making it when everybody was getting excited about being able to go to the pub garden so this seemed appropriate. I have teamed the image up with some papers and added a sentiment of my own. All of the colouring was done using watercolour pencils and the image was fussy cut.
For this next one - its the Luv Shack - this is my personnel favourite from the new release. Its just so ramshackle but the hearts really give the feeling that its utterly loved by its owners - I used distress inks in the background and water colour pencils for the main house. The back of the card was roughly stamped using an image from last months sets.
This final one was added to a distress oxide mop up background and I also added the trees that were on the show. The house was coloured using water colour pencils.

Wishing you a wonderful day!
Hugs Rachel x

Brusho Tree (by Tracy)

Hello here is my second post this month, with a creation from May's show. To create this I used Distress Oxides over a moon mask, I stamped my tree from Orchard Design A Tree set, with Versafine Clair. I sprinkled some Brushos lightly over the branches, then with a fine mist added a little bit of water to activate the Brushos. I then added a sentiment from the set called Life is so much Better.

Thank you for looking and I will see you later in the month with another creation.

Happy Crafting

Believe in your Dreams by Brenda

Morning all, I have a mixture to share with you today starting with a bit of grunge above using Urban Chic stamped onto one of the CB Black and White papers, spritzed with some Distress Spray. I stamped the house a second time, sprayed with the same inks, but out and paper pieced. A sentiment cut into three from my Life is so much Better set.

An Oxide background and one of the trees from Orchard Design a Tree stamped four time and heat embossed with Frantage EP. As simple as that!

Using the arch of the card base to line up I stamped Bridge House with Versafine black and embossed the whole piece with Speckled Egg embossing glaze. I followed the same format with the sentiment and before fixing the focal image behind the aperture I stamped the base with a tree from Orchard Design a Tree.

Have a lovely Thursday everyone.

Essence of Nature (by Magda) - Orchard Design a Tree, Essence of Nature,

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.

My journaling page of today wants to be a contribute to the Nature and Chocolate Baroque has a large range of lovely stamps concerning this topic. So I decided for trees and Distress Ink Pads. On my previously colored page, I stamped Orchard Design a Tree and some sentiments of Essence of Nature rubber plates.  I lightened the center of the little red flowers with a white pen.

Thanks for reading and be creative, hugs

Magda

Bottle and Jug (by Veronica)

It's always fun to have the quirky designs by Kim Moody to play with, and this month we had four!

I have used just the old pub one here, to celebrate the hospitality reopening....

My first one used a brusho background, image stamped in black versafine and clear embossed. I used bleach to take the colour out on the plastered areas of the building and a marker pen to colopur the roof.
The sentiment is from Say it vertically.

The second version is back to a daylight view, stmaped in black again and coloured with marker pens. The background was sponged with distress inks and stamped with the script from Scripts and timepieces

On black tag stamp tree twice with 'Versamark' ink.

Heat set with white embossing powder.

Add broken line border with white gel pen.
