Hocus Pocus - Halloween Tags By Florence

Hi everyone

I hope your week is going well.

Today I would like to share with you some easy tags made with the fabulous new Hocus Pocus Rubber Stamp Set.

I had so much fun making these.
The more I use the stamps the more I love them.

Please click on the photos to enlarge and to see the detail.

This is such a fun creature.
I did think it would also work for a little boys birthday card....I'm thinking dragons and castles.

This stamp set is so versatile.
The cat, the spider and the trees in this set would work for other stamping projects other than Halloween.

The spider stamp I used to create the little spiders on the tag above are from the
"Put A Spell On You" Set.

I made all of the tags in the same way.

To make the tags

Stamp the main images:  The creature, the cat and the Witch.
Make a circle mask and place it on the tag where you wish the moon to appear.
Mask off any parts of the image that you wish to colour.
Colour the tag with a light brown Distress Ink using a piece of Cut-n-Dry foam.
Take a stencil and place it over the tag and using a piece of foam apply a darker colour Distress Ink to create the pattern on the background.
Apply some more darker Distress Ink around the edges if necessary.
Stamp all of the remaining images ie., the bats, cobwebs, spiders, script and branches.
Remove any masks and colour the images.
Optional: Spray the tag with a fixative to fix the ink.

Just to share.
On the second tag, and using a paint brush, I added some lemon juice around the edges of the tag and then heated it to create an old charred look.

Grab yourself and cuppa and check out all of the wonderful projects made by the team.

Thank you for looking.
Happy Stamping.

Spring Bird Daffodil - By Florence

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.

The Spring Bird Daffodil Set is one of three sets of rubber stamps released this month.  They are all fabulous sets and the epitome of Spring Time.  I don't know about you but I am definitely looking forward to Spring arriving this year.  It's been knocking on the door for a couple of weeks now and will certainly be met with a warm welcome.

Below are two of the projects I made using the amazing  Spring Bird Daffodil  set.  I don't want anyone to miss out so please do check out the multi-buy offer which can be seen here.  The designs are exquisite.

To make this tag

Stamp the large daffodil and mask
Stamp the large daffodil again and mask
Stamp the large daffodil for a third time and mask
Stamp the Bird so it appears behind the daffodils and mask
Leave all of the masks on
Pat some Distress Ink on a piece of plastic sheet or acrylic block and spritz with water.
Swish the stamped tag around in the diluted ink and dry
Repeat the above process using a different color Distress Ink and dry
Remove the masks and color your stamped images
Finally, add a small sentiment.

Tip:  I used masking fluid on both of these projects.

To make this card

Stamp the bird and mask
Pat some Distress Ink onto a piece of plastic sheet or acrylic block and spritz with water
Swish the card around in the diluted ink and leave to dry
Stamp the music panel so that it appears behind the bird  (I used Lavender Memento ink)
Remove the mask from the bird and color the image
Make up the card as seen using some pretty papers for mat and layering.

Unless otherwise stated, I used Black Archival Ink to stamp my images on both of these projects.

That's all from me today. I hope you like the projects.

Thank you for looking.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Steampunk Sea World and Steampunk Funky Fish Tags By Florence

Hi everyone

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

I can't tell you how excited I am about the new Steampunk Stamps!  They are amazing!

Like many of you, I am a huge fan of the Chocolate Baroque's Steampunk Stamp Range so when I saw the new stamps I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and have a play.  You are going to love the new stamp sets.

Apart from how great the images are, one of the things that struck me straight away when I looked at the stamp sets is that there are TEN stamps on each A5 sheets.  How wonderful is that!

These are some tags I made using the new Steampunk Funky Fish and Steampunk Sea World Stamp Sets.

I hope you like them.

Tag 1

Tag 2

Tag 3

Tag 4

I made all of the tags in the same way by stamping the images (using Black Archival Ink onto white card stock) and masking them to build up the scenes.

I left the masks on my stamped images and colored the background with Distress Inks and stencils.

I then removed the masks from my stamped images and colored them with water color crayons.
I then gave my tags two to three coats of Mod Podge.

Tip: Stamping and Masking.  Start by stamping the image that you wish to appear at the forefront of your scene first and then mask it. Then stamp the next image that you wish to appear directly behind the first image and then mask that one and continue stamping and masking until you have built up your scene.

Thank you for looking.

Happy Stamping

Pretty Poppies!

Hi, again! It's Poppy time at Chocolate Baroque! With the new release of the Pretty Poppies set, you have some absolutely beautiful stamps to chose from, and it's a hard choice as to which one to use first!  Just get them all inky!  Here's some tags and a bookmark made using the poppy stamps in this set.  Enjoy!

I colored these with Copic markers, and mounted them on
solid colored cardstock.  Just little details like raising
the butterfly brought the image to life.

Thanks for coming, and we hope you'll come again soon!  New postings nearly every day!
