It's Lesley (E) here again with my final Guest DT shares using the beautiful new stamp sets Christmas Candlelight and Sparkling Trees.
Once again this first card has lots of white space but relies on careful stamping and relative simplicity of design for impact.
It required careful placement of the stamping to appear in the diecut partial circle in the top layer and masking to create the hint of snowy hills in the background.
My final card was simply made from one of my offcuts and is mainly just stamping and watercolouring with Distress Inks and a little metallic paint.
If you would like to see details of how these cards were created please hop over to my blog for the lowdown.
I do hope you have enjoyed my shares with you this month as much as I enjoyed making them and thank you for the kind comments. I am sure I will be making more cards with these stunning stamps in the run up to Christmas which I will share on my blog. I look forward to sharing more Guest DT makes with you in the future and am looking forward to seeing what fabulous inspiration my fellow guest designers have coming up for us in the meantime not to mention the wonderful designs from the main DT members.
See you again soon
Lesley (E) Xx
Wow! Stunning project Lesley. Love both designs. The second one has a lovely Scandinavian feel to it.

Hi Lesely, these are wonderful cards, and I love the cut out to show the image behind it, fabulous colouring and design, thank you for so much inspiration, Kate x
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley, good to see your beautiful creations as a guest DT! Love them both, especially the strokes of ' paint' behind the lantern, very effective! The lay-out of the card with the circle is great, will certainly borrow that idea, xxMiranda
ReplyDeleteTwo brilliant cards Lesley, I love them both, the deer with the aperture is do clever xx Zoe xx
ReplyDeleteTwo great designs Lesley, both with a lovely touch of fresh originality. I love the cut out design, the very subtle shading of the landscape, offset die cut, perfect choice of sentiment and careful gold edging add up to a very classy design. The swiped background has a wood effect feel, very brave - it would look like a right mess if I did DTP! Great colouring, as Florence said, quite a Nordic feel with that grey. It's been lovely having you back! Elaine xxx
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty cards Lesley and the trees and the deer through the 'c' shaped cut out is a lovely design idea and the second card is quite cas but has that beautiful metallic background and banner and is very elegant. x
ReplyDeleteLove the shape and sponging on the first, but the grungy-look of the second is stunning! Great to see these beautiful cards!
