New Spring and Easter Stamps

I'm delighted to announce a new batch of stamps.  Firstly we have Easter Traditions which is perfect for those of you who celebrate the true meaning of Easter.  The crosses are beautiful in their own right and I'm sure will be useful for sympathy or confirmation cards.  I actually fancy making some jewellery with the crosses, maybe air dry clay or polymer clay studded with crystals.

This card was made by embossing the large cross with clear powder, then adding Distress Stains and lots of water.  I've found it's one of those 'leave it alone' techniques - the more you mess with it, the more blended the colours become.  You need to know when to stop and wait patiently for it to dry.

I will be doing a giveaway next Friday and picking three winners from all the comments left during the week - who knows, it might be your lucky day!

Then we have two gorgeous floral sets, Elegant Spring Flowers and Elegant Crocus, both with a hint of Art Nouveau.  These are great for colouring in and the script background stamps are perfect with Versamark and chalks or Perfect Pearls.

There is a multi-buy deal on the two Spring Flower sets as well - don't forget to log in first to see your best price, these are all on special offer for Guild members.

Here is a card made with the Elegant Spring Florals.

The sentiment is from Birthday Swirls which is one of our 'Last Chance' stamps that I've been asked to keep by lots of people.  It's a rather useful little A6 sized set - do you think we should keep this one in the range?  Leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

Stay tuned for more gorgeous artwork coming soon from the rest of the team.

  4. Two gorgeous stamps and the effect with the distress stains is beautiful. Art Nouveau is a favourite too. That stamp plate is such a useful one which I have already but it might be a good move to keep it (or maybe come up with an alternative small plate)

  5. These are real beauties of floral/script stamps with gorgeous stylized variations included. I've been hankering after a crocus stamp.........how ever did you know?? My mum was an ordained minister so I'm thrilled to see the traditional Easter stamps.
I've loved Art Nouveau for a long time & though I have that little Birthday Swirls set I can see how useful it is - one of the very few large Happy Birthday stamps with some elegance where the Greeting can actually form the focus of the design.

  6. These are gorgeous Glenda, I love the flower sets and the crosses will be very useful, and are now at the top of my wish list for next month. I already have the Birthday stamp, and I use it a lot. If you are going to get rid of it maybe you could come up with something a bit different to replace it.

  7. These are gorgeous Glenda and the crosses stamp plate will be useful for so many occasions I really love it that you do stamps that reflect the true Christian meaning of the seasons as well as the more "secular" ones. I can feel another spend coming on. I love the floral ones too and as for the birthday stamps I think you should keep them, it's not a set I have but it is one that I would like.

Like Paula I can't see the images on here but if I click on the little blue question mark it takes me direct to the CB website and the stamps.

    1. I can see the crosses theme plate plus the two florals now. Also an additional box with nothing in at all which takes me nowhere - just tells me I've not got access & that appears before the crosses themeplate.

  14. Love the distress stains with the beautiful cross - and art nouveau is always a winner. There's a new BBC4 series on art nouveau starting Thursday so these lovely stamp plates are very timely.

    1. I broke the habit of a crafting lifetime and ordered the amazing cross themeplate as soon as I saw it!The crosses are stunningly beautiful,Glenda, and I love the gentle daffodils (we have a gardenful of the real thing at the moment)and the very apt sentiments.

As a practising Catholic these stamps are dear to my heart and I know they will come in useful for fund-raising events in my Parish,a cross on a tag always goes down well!I have some Distress Stains so might have a go at a card based on yours which is truly fabulous and very atmospheric.

Love the flower stamps too but as I can't have everything and it IS Lent, oops, they will have to wait!

  17. Your cross card is stunning Glenda, the colours are just so beautiful. I really like the colours of the second card too, great contrasting tones. The switl on Birthday Swirls is one of my favourites, and very well used. It is such a useful size. If the plate goes, I hope the swirl is reborn elsewhere. Judith xx

    1. I used Southfield pearlescent card (the one that is our Essential Card Pack). I tried it on watercolour paper, but it is too absorbent and the colours soak in straight away without mingling and running.

  19. Wow, I love this gorgeous cross card. So C&S but stunning. The deep blue background sets the beautiful cross off great. The wee snow drop image on the second card is beautiful, I'm loving all these new stamps. Now I'll need to treat myself again, just when I think I can't fit any more into my wee craft room. I'm sure I'll find a space for these, lol. The birthday swirls are a lovely stamp set, another I think I just may have to get too.
