Hi Folks, I hope that you are enjoying some Spring sunshine wherever you are. My card today uses some of the stamps from the
Magical Landscapes/Fantasy Castles Multibuy stamp set. I stamped the castle and masked this off by stamping a second image onto masking paper and covering the image. I then added some trees from this set,
Country Views and
English Cottages before colouring the background with Pan Pastels. I added some rain clouds and extra colour with the Pan Pastels, and then completed the background with a rainbow, using the Pan Pastels, blending the colours into each other for a softened effect.
I coloured the stamped images with Distress Markers and a waterbrush, and added a sentiment from the
Fairyland Words clear stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by, Judith xx

This is a wonderful work of art and I love the way you have used the Pan Pastels for the sky and rainbow, and inks for the landscape with the castle. This certainly is a magical scene.
ReplyDeleteThe softness of the sky & the hint of the rainbow is very lifelike & I love the way that the inks contrast with the PanPastels. The shading on that castle is glorious & I love the way it is nestles midst the two little humps with their stands of trees. This is beautifully atmospheric & makes one wish to walk straight into the magic of the fairytale…….

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful & quite different from the other castle cards (also beautiful). These stamps are much more versitile than my imagination had originally pictured. Thanks for the inspiration :-)

It is beautiful, gorgeous colours & the clouds are fab.
ReplyDeleteYou really have used lots of different skills to create this lovely scene and as Paula said the contract of the inking with the softer pan pastel sky works so well. I really love the rainbow you have created, it has been an ambition of mine to find a way of making rainbows and this is a super idea. I can imagine walking through this scene too, really lovely.
