For my sample today, I picked the image of two shepherds (having a natter) from the "A Child Is Born" A4 sheet. To create the background, I first masked a little circle for the moon and lightly blended several shades of purple and blue Distress Inks. Then I added some subtle sparkle with Stickles. Nothing fancy here. The image is so gorgeous as is that it really doesn't need bells and whistles.
Now for the best part - colouring the image... and what a joy that was! I used alcohol markers to dress these shepherds, restraining myself to simple neutral colours.

ReplyDeleteOMGee Asha!! The stamps are gorgeous and your colouring of them is beyond good - they are stunning and then some! Really beautiful Karen x
ReplyDeleteYour matting of the image panel is exquisite in the way it provides a foil for your distress ink/stickles background & I particularly like your choice of neutral colours for the shepherds' clothing - your shading is beautifully effective & the grey tones are brought out so subtly & succinctly by your base card & the patterned paper (?) layer.
