I don't know about you but I always struggle with these type of cards (well any kind of fancy fold really) but Glenda's template really does make it a lot easier. You can find it here
I was pleased that the gorgeous floral borders from Dusky Damask fitted the template beautifully. I just stamped them, coloured with promarkers and matted on some red card before attaching to the card base. I used two strips of the narrow border and covered the join with a sentiment from Pretty Poppies and a creative acrylic tag. The main image is from Pretty Poppies, again coloured with promarkers and matted on red card. I didn't want a lot of embellishments with these gorgeous images so I just added some little red gems.
I hope you're getting lots of inspiration from our samples, as you can see we all loved working with these gorgeous new stamps

Absolutely gorgeous, Claire, and so beautifully coloured! Your design really shows off the poppies to great effect, and the damask borders complement them so well. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Claire, I love the way everything stands out from the white.

Simply siper Claire. Very Christmassy in a non-Christmassy way if you know what I mean. This would look stunning done with the Poinsettia stamps I have - it's not on the website so it must be discontinued.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely match with those border elements & I have to agree - the gems add just that little bit - not too little or too much. The picking out of the wording in red is gorgeous & the little blue butterfly so real.
