Indian Designs with Zingy colours (by Shirley)

Hello everyone !  I hope you enjoyed the long weekend.

We've been having so much fun creating with the two new sets -  Indian Textiles and Indian Elephant, which inspire the use of vibrant colours & lots of bling!

Today I'm showing my first two designs using these gorgeous new stamps that feature the Peacock image.

I created the background with Orange Dylusions ink and also blended Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink over a TCW Mini Solace Stencil.    The background images are from Indian Elephant which I stamped with black Stazon Ink.  I bleached the colour from the images & painted with my Tombow markers using a brush & water.  I also highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen.

I painted the Peacock from Indian Textiles with my Tombow markers, cut him out and attached as shown.    I used Spellbinder Majestic Elements S4-383 for the die cuts.    I added glitter, rhinestones & liquid pearls for accents.

This second design while still vibrant is more subdued in colour.

I used Peacock Feathers (Turquoise) Distress Ink using the Acrylic block technique to create the background.   I stamped the decorative textile image from Indian Textiles and a flower from Indian Elephant with black ink.  I coloured the flowers with my Prisma pencils and painted the peacock with Tombow markers.  I used gold UTEE around the edge.  Next, lots of bling & feathers are added!

These two stamp sets give you so many creative possibilities.   Please keep checking here as my talented team mates have gorgeous designs to show you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  2. Deliciously stunning & I love your use of white with the first one. I particularly like the way your CWT design is mirrored in the shapes of the peacock's feathers & the selective use of the aqua enhances amazingly.
Your stunning use of the feathers in the second one catches the attention & I love the way the flowers behind in the background pattern mimic the feathers in both shape & colour.
Your matting in both projects really brings out the colours of each card beautifully.
    Quite sumptuous.
