Hello everyone, I hope 2014 is starting out wonderful for you.
I have another design today using images from the beautiful Serenity and Tranquility A5 sets.
I
started by creating texture using a stencil with light molding paste. Chocolate Baroque has a great stencil selection here. After letting it dry I sprayed with Dylusions inks
(Cut Grass, London Blue & Turquoise) and rubbed Inka Gold over
parts of the raised areas. I stamped the water Irises from Tranquility on the bottom RH side with Peacock Feathers DI and the vine also from Tranquility
at the top LH side with Mowed Lawn DI. I highlighted the background
images with Prisma pencils (a technique inspired by Miranda).
I stamped the Lotus flower from Serenity with
Cobalt Archival ink, sprayed again with Dylusions and then coloured
with Prisma pencils. I added a little glitter to the water and centers
of the flowers.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day,
Shirley
One word.. Stunning.. Says it all, Px
ReplyDeleteA beautful card Shriley, some of my favourite colours. I love the way you have created the background, great texture and stamped highlights. The main panel is as always beautifully coloured and the addition of the lilac colour range is super. A bright and uplifting card for this dreary time of year. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous....fab image and colours.xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the fan texture and all the fresh greens! Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteOoo very lush. Great texture created fabulous colours flowing through then the pop of different colours on the main image makes one stunning piece x

The colours are exquisite and the background is fabulous, it's such a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteYour deckled edge for the image panel looks super & again I'm transfixed by your matting colours. The background panel highlighting of the fans echoes the striations of the conical flowers in your image panel & the addition of the subtle glitter really catches the eye. Your positioning of the image panel is beautifully effective with the stamping in the diagonally opposite corners & I particularly like the way you have gone from light (yellow-green) to the dark (blue-green) top to bottom on both the image panel & the background. Phew - there was more here than initially meets the eye…….

this is just beautiful and I love the background - what a fabulous idea xx
ReplyDeleteI love the blues and greens with the stencilled texture in the background, and the gilding wax and stamping just add layers of interest. I also like the way you have coloured the image panel with the yellowy green at the top and the bluey green at the bottom which echoes the background colouring. I adore the Lotus Flower image and the Prisma pencil colouring, and the
ReplyDeletesoft colour stamping behind and touches of glitter finish it beautifully. There is so much interest in this card.
That's a very gorgeous card!! Coco x
