Spring Fairy and Flowers (posted by Shirley)

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

I have a design today using the gorgeous new Spring Fairy Collection.

The background is a sheet that I printed from the beautiful Leafy Brocade Printable Papers.   The  May Fairy was stamped on water colour paper with Cobalt Archival ink, coloured with Tom Bow markers and cut out.   I added holograph glitter to parts of her dress.  I coloured the die cut flowers with Distress Inks.

Dies:  Crealie Creative Flowers CL CF 20 & CL CF 19 and Memory Box - Pierson Corner.

Thanks for your visit and have a great week,
Shirley

  7. Your Cobalt stamping is so effective against the patterned paper & I love the way you've placed with the wings following the curve of the leafy pattern behind her. The colours of her wings are picked up beautifully in those flowers & I love the aqua of her dress & how that colour appears in the background as well as the flowers. A lovely piece of designing which really catches the eye. Your use of the Pierson Corner die works wonderfully with the patterned paper…… the more I looked the more I saw!

  12. This is such a pretty card. I love the printed background paper which works perfectly with the fairy image, and the way the blue in the paper has been picked out and used for the fairy's dress with that little extra sparkle from the glitter, and also in the flowers, and similarly the colours on the fairy wings are also echoed in the flowers. The beautiful MB Pierson Corner die used as a swirl behind the flowers is a great touch too.
