Hi there,
Today it's my turn to show you my 2nd take on the new stamps. I've used both sheets Floral Mannequin and the Sewing room.
Not quit my style but I went for soft pastel colors. Sometimes you have to do something completely different........I went through my crafting stash to use some of the old paperpads. They are very neglected because most of the time I want to create my own backgrounds. But sometimes it can be easy to use some of them when you don't have so much time.
I have stamped the dress form onto the patterned paper and decoupaged it. On the peach pastel background I stamped all the haberdashery using Memento Desert sand. I stamped the other dress form on the background and cut out some flowers and swirl leaves from the same paper.
It is a simple card and can be created in a short time.
Thanks for your visit, always enjoy to read your comments!
Till next time,
Zo mooi en stijlvol! Groetjes, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Miranda and has such a pretty combination of papers and stamping. I think we all tend to think of flowers and swirls being cut from a plain colour card but the patterned paper works so well and is a refreshing change and certainly gives a vintage feel to the card. Personally I think these small patterns work better in this instance too. x
ReplyDeleteMiranda this is a really pretty card

this is gorgeous Miranda - such a beautiful make with these stamps x
ReplyDeleteI love the way you used both the dress forms, decoupaging the larger one & accenting the latter with the swirls die cut from the same paper, the way your die cut bottom right swirl overlaps the dress form leads the eye beautifully & the swirl shape is carried through in the pattern of the patterned paper. There's a lovely balance in your swirl/floral embellishments top left & bottom right with the sentiment balancing your decoupaged focal image. It's delightful seeing how effective all the components of your design are.
