My first card features a dress form from The Sewing Room sheet which I heat embossed in black and fussy cut. I coloured the body with Polychromos. Same treatment for the pin cushion from the Floral Mannequins sheet. There's also some second generation stamping of safety pins at the bottom ... if you look hard! :) The sentiment is form the Birthday Words A5 sheet. To finish, I added Liquid Pearls and cream cotton lace.
My second card is also a vintage affair. This time I did some stamping directly onto the design paper and distressed the edges. The lace is from The Sewing Room sheet and for the background stamping I used the Dressmaking Collage clear sheet. The dress form is from the Floral Mannequins sheet, heat embossed in black, fussy cut and adhered to the card. And to finish I stuck on a few buttons.
That's all from me today. I trust you'll be busy with these fabulous stamps this weekend! I'll be posting more photos and details of products used for these projects on my blog tomorrow. The Design Team has lots of amazing ideas coming up to inspire you, so make sure you swing by often. :)

These cards are both very pretty Asha and love your use of patterned paper which you have stamped on, and your added lace and beautiful bits of stitching which complement these particular stamps perfectly. x
ReplyDeleteThey're both lovely Asha, thanks so much for sharing them :) I especially like the first one - maybe that's 'cos I'm getting to be 'vintage' myself ;)

ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Asha. Love the vintage feel to these. The mannequin against the roses with the lace on the first one is just sooo pretty. The safety pin boarder along the bottom is a great idea.

Love both cards, so pretty. Especially like the idea of sewing on the cards, it really ties everything all together. Pity my machine refuses to sew on card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love the elegant details on the first and the depth that you managed to get on the second card!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful cards Asha! I love your use of the designer papers and you've used these pretty stamps to great effect. Love that gorgeous lace stamp on the top of the second card!

Two delicate and really gorgeous cards!! Hugs, Coco xx
ReplyDeleteIn your first the shading of that dress form & pincushion add lovely dimension & I particularly like your addition of the lace down the right hand with the pattern of the lace echoing the skirt structure. The safety pins scattered along the bottom are a lovely touch.
ReplyDeleteIn the second it's your use of the lace edge across the top to balance the roses along the bottom that provides such a lovely frame when combined with your stitching which (as always) is impeccably placed.
