Good morning Lovelies, I'm back with my second post this month for our Summertime/Sunshine theme.
I've gone for a hot summer night theme on my first project and used Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper with Blending solution, once it was dry, which only takes a minute or two, I used an Anti-static bag and stamped using Black Archival inkpad, the stamps sets I've used are - Floral Edges the birds are from Landscape Edges the tree and tiny flowers from Orchard Trees set the flowers I stamped using different colours of Archival inkpads.
I've created a Mixed Media canvas for a second project, using spray inks for the background and subtle stamping in the background using scripts and clocks from Eccentric Edwardian and flitter glu with gilding flakes on Harlequin Fragments I also used the script on my die cut leaves to create more texture and the die cut clock I used Modern Textures. I stamped the beautiful Harlequin Bouquet onto tissue paper and coloured using Distress Crayons and a water brush, once dried I adhered using a collage medium, the butterfly is from Tangled Garden and also water coloured using Distress Crayons and fussy cut, my die cut elements were coloured using spray inks, I used a harlequin stencil and texture paste to create some texture directly onto the canvas and covered with a sparkly copper embossing powder, I left this to dry over night then careful not to disturb the powder once dry I heat embossed it, I added all my elements and stencilled the words and a few more Harlequin bits, some coloured enamel dots and voila!
Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you like my projects? have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

I think both of these are beautiful Zoe and the first has those fabulous hot colours and the canvas has lots of texture and interest with the pretty added flower, leaves and butterfly and the tile type sentiment to finish it. The colours mix and mingle wonderfully. x
ReplyDeleteYour work is always spot on..... you just have that knack of whatever you do, it turns out a masterpiece and these are no exception.
ReplyDeleteI adore the Alcohol Ink card, the background you've achieved is warm and glowing, love the effects. And of course, you always have the right stamps to offset your background. Love it.
The mixed media canvas is also brilliant with so many techniques, media and styles brought into play. It all goes together so well. True inspiration for us all. x
Love all your projects but especially the card. I am going to try the yupo paper. If mine looks anywhere near as good as yours I will be pleased. Tfs syy
ReplyDeleteThey're stunning projects, love 'em both :)
