One for the Scrap Book

Well we are now into May, doesn't the time just go. And this month we have a return guest deisgner, Gerrina, who will be inspiring us with three beautiful projects.  Her first this week is a scrapbook layout, which makes a nice change for CB. So here we go, over to Gerrina.

So glad that it is my turn for Guest designers-posts at Chocolate Baroque! Three weeks in a row I  have some projectsfor you.
My first project is a Lay Out, just to show you how easy you can use the stamps from Chocolate Baroque for one:

Materials:

  • Stamps: Tangled Fragments and Punky Flowers
  • Ink: Memento Bahama Blue and Lady Bug, Distress Ink Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed
  • Other: White scrap paper, cardboard from a cookies package, blending tool, watercolour paper, waterbrush, yellow and red cardstock

  • Mat the photo on yellow and red cardstock.
  • Stamp the background stamps in blue, green and yellow Distress and Memento ink, so that they form a frame for the matted photo.
  • Stamp the flowers and steampunk cogs with their base behind the photo randomly.
  • Stamp the steampunk tulip twice in red and once in blue on a piece of stamping paper and colour them with a waterbrush and cut them out.
  • Colour the carrogated cardboard blue with the blending tool and Blue Distress Ink and cut it in pieces just as you need.
  • Glue the cardboard, the photo and the coloured tulips on the lay out.

Hope you liked this first project, I shall be here again next week.
Creatieve groetjes,

I think many of us forget to use stamps when scrapbooking so this is a great idea, thank you Gerrina and we look forward to seeing what you have in store for us next week.

Meanwhile please keeping popping in to read our daily dose of inspiration from our talented Design Team.

  1. This is a really beautiful background to your lovely photo Gerrina and the soft colours for the background stamping give great contrast to the brighter red and yellow behind the photo which definitely makes it pop. Looking forward to seeing you again next week. x
