Blue Butterfly (posted by Judith)

I'd like to show you another sample using the new Tangled Garden stamp set. Although the weather is really cold and our thoughts are turning to Winter now, hopefully this card will make you feel more like Spring!

I have painted the background with a thin coat of Ecoline paint, before stamping a frame of leaves around the edge, using masking tape to allow me to overlap some of them as I went along. I drew small tangle designs in the gaps to complete the frame. These are not regular at all, and I wanted to show that you do not have to be a great artist to enjoy the spirit of Zentangle.

I have then stamped the butterfly onto a spare piece of card, and coloured it with pencils, adding some wire and a couple of pearls for antennae. I coloured the leaves with pencils, and added a lovely sentiment taken from the Patchwork Butterfly stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, Judith xx
