Monochrome Blossom (posted by Judith)

Here's another sample using the Tangled Garden set of stamps. I wanted to create a simple monochrome feel to my project, and chose a background of Kraft card to achieve this effect. I have used the large open blossom, which I stamped three times onto a spare piece of card, and drew some tangle designs within the petals. I then coloured these and blended them, adding white highlights. I stamped some of the leaves, adding colour in the same way. I have also created a freehand addition, also on Kraft card, using a Micron pen, which I have cut out to add to my overall design.

A black mount and a textured white card were all that were needed to create the card, and a quick rummage through my stash box to find a few flat-backed pearls, which just finish off the corners.

Thanks for stopping by, Judith xx

  1. Stunning Card. Love the colours. I hadn't noticed the flower or the leaves on the stamp sheet until I saw this. My eyes where only drawn to the butterfly.

  3. These colours are just wonderful & I love your leaves & the dimension of it all. Your freehand leafy swirly addition adds a lovely touch & don't those pearls just echo the centres of some of the leaves. The flower centre is amazingly dimensional & I particularly like the way you have patterned the two layers of petals in the same sequence & then offset them.
