Good morning.
I think the warmer weather has helped wake my creative spirit up. The Design Team have new stamps that I've been playing with over the weekend and they are a delight.
I also had a play with the Butterfly Dress stamp and Briar Rose, Harebell, Thistle and Honeysuckle Butterfly Quartet stamps. I started with stamping the Butterfly Dress lady then cut a mask so I could then stamp the foliage around her. When the ink was dry I cut a moon and placed it over the lady mask. With soft brushes I added Peeled Paint and Broken China with a horizontal movement. The flowers and butterflies were coloured with alcohol pens and I covered the bodice of the dress with Waterfall Stickles that is blue tones and on the photograph looks yellows and greens. I chose purple from the dress to mount the scene and added to and 8 x8 card.
Thanks for visiting
Debbie
I think this is the most beautiful stamp from the new ones and can see it is the same with the designers here at CB; this one is also a beautiful one; how great the embossing looks with the soft colours!
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying all the samples shown using this stamp - it is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe sky is gorgeously soft & I love the way the foliage & butterflies are stamped in the black around the focal image. Your colouring if the lady is delightful & even if the Stickles bodice appears greenish gold in the photo it's still in keeping with the colours of her dress - amazing what tricks the camera can play!!

I love how you coloured the flowers all purple. The sky and grass is so soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty Debbie and the background using the flower/butterfly quartet stamps works so well, also the moon and the pretty pastel blue sky is nice and soft and doesn't detract from the pretty lady. I agree that this seems the most versatile and also the most popular amongst the design team too. x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Debbie, love the addition of the floral stamps and your colouring is wonderful, Kate x
