Hello everyone, I have another card using the beautiful Butterfly Dress cling mounted stamp to show you today. I decided to incorporate a bit of an Irish theme into my card, so used a palette of mainly greens to create my card.
I started my background, by adding some colour to a piece of scrapbook paper through a Prima Mask, and then added some script using a stamp from the Mini Scripts stamp set. I stamped the main image onto a die cut oval, and again onto a spare piece of scrapbook paper, and coloured the images with pencils. I decoupaged the butterflies from the spare image onto the main image. I added some of the flowers, along with some shamrock style die cuts to a sentiment taken from the Patchwork Butterfly stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by, Judith xx
Gorgeous card xx Jan
ReplyDeleteJudith this is a beautiful card, your colouring is fantastic and you have used some of my favourite colours too.

I love the greens in this with the gorgeous way you have coloured the butterflies of her dress against the orangey-peachey colours of the flowers. What really caught my attention though is the mottled pinkness of the scrapbook paper & the way it echoes the soft flesh tones of the image's skin.

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Judith and like the idea of the stencilled butterflies with the added script which works really well. Love the decoupaged image and the extra flowers and shamrock leaves decorating the sentiment is a lovely touch. x
