Hello everybody, today I have some colourful examples for you, just the way I like them.
I have made a card to show you and four ATC's. I took some watercolour paper and my favorite Dylusions ink. I sprayed some water over my paper and then took some green and pink Dylusions sprays and sprayed them over the paper. For the card I used the pink and green part of the paper, for the ATC it was only the green area. The final ATC has a bit of blue too. Then I sprayed some salt, here and there and let everything air dry. When the paper was dry, I stamped the flower from the Awesome Orchids stamp set first, masked it and then stamped the stalk. I stamped the flowers again on some other paper that I had coloured with Dylusions ink and cut them out. With some 3D foam I placed them on the stamped flower on the card.
For the ATCs I did the same with the bottom two, but on the top two, I took away the colour with some bleach and coloured them again with alcoholic markers.
I hope you like my samples, and try out the techniques some time, it was real fun!
Greetings,
Maria
En wat voor mooie kleuren! Prachtige kaart en ATC's! Zo helder van kleur, dat komt als een zonnig geheel over! Groetjes, Gerrina

So so pretty Maria and love your vibrant colours and I love the patterns that the salt makes. I have tried the bleaching out technique but I think I overdid it because it ate through the card ..lol. Must try it again and be less heavy handed. x
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful and vibrant creations Maria, like them all! xxMiranda
ReplyDeleteVery sunny & summery. I love the way you have used the green for the leaves in your card & how the orchids themselves have colours that provide some contrast with the background. The black mounting on all your samples really sets them off. I think my favourite of these is that bottom right blue & red ATC - the way the orchid's leaves glow against the background & the gorgeous flower itself which also glows.
