Chess is art by Zoe

Good morning Lovelies and welcome to my first post this month.
What a fabulous variety of stamps Lesley brought to Hochanda this time, something for everyone!

Here are some of my samples from the shows.

My first card I started by scoring downwards, quite randomly to add some interest, then using a damp piece of kitchen roll swiped down with ink that I’d blobbed onto my craft mat, I then used some white chalk paint on a practically dry brush and just gently brushed down to mute the colours a bit.
Stamped and a bit of shading with pencils, I stamped the silhouette chess piece separately and heat embossed, coloured with the same ink and fussy cut, a few ink splatters and script from one of the other sets stamped in grey, I used a charcoal pencil to add some perspective under the main image.

I used a scrap from my stash that I’d done a while back using the “shaving foam technique” I stencilled over lightly with black soot distress ink, stamped and decoupaged, and made an envelope to match.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope I’ve inspired you? Please pop back each day and check out what my very talented team mates have created, I shall be back later in the month.
Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx
