Tranquility in a Garden of Meditation (by Shirley)

Hello everyone,  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

It's still a busy season so maybe you can use a little break in a tranquil garden.    I created this design using the new gorgeous Tranquility set.

The background was created with Seedless Preserves and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks using an Acrylic block.   I stamped over the background with five different images from Tranquility mainly with Cobalt Archival ink.   The blossoms were stamped with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.    I coloured over it all with Prisma Pencils and added glitter to highlight which you can see in the photo below.

Thanks for your visit, I hope you can come back often to see what my talented teammates have to show:)

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year !
Shirley

  8. I really like the way you added glitter to the water & created a scene grounding the stonework to the left. It's very atmospheric & I like the definition you were able to create by using the Prisma pencils over the inked background.

  12. I love the way these new stamps have been mixed to create this beautiful card, with the mainly purple and pink hues and the Blossoms and Bullrushes framing the Buddha. The Prisma pencils have coloured so well over the top of the background colour without seeming muddy. The touches of glitter give a magical feel to the scene and the mounting with the black and then the gold finishes it all off perfectly. Oh so pretty!
