Good morning, fellow Chocoholics. Are you enjoying your new stamps? I bet you are. Let me show you a couple more design ideas. Nothing fancy... which is how I like them!
For my first card I used the reflection technique on the three trees from the Autumn Edges A5 sheet. I stamped the reflection with the aid of the stamp positioner's acrylic imaging sheet. For the background I used various Distress Inks: light purples for the sky, greens for the grassy bank and pale blue and aqua for the water. I added blue and white Liquid Pearls for the stars and ripples in the water. The greeting is from Butterfly Dreams.
My second card is an explosion of colour - pink mushrooms against rich autumn evening sky. I masked off the moon, blended several Distress Inks and stamped the tall grass from the Wild Meadow A4 sheet. I coloured the mushrooms from the Autumn Edges A5 sheet with alcohol markers, fussy cut and adhered them to the inked background. To finish the card, I stamped a flying bat from the Witching Time A5 sheet. Makes sense? Of course not! Those are magic mushrooms!
I'll post details of the products used on my blog. Don't forget to drop by the Design Team blog regularly because my team mates have lined up some pretty fabulous projects for you. Watch this space, folks!
Beijinhos,
Asha
These are beautiful. I like the reflection of the trees. I must look into how you have done it more closely
ReplyDeleteOh, mein Gott, was für wunderschöne Karten. Ich bin entzückt :-)
ReplyDeleteDie Bäume spiegeln sich im Wasser, es sieht grandios aus.
Und die Pilz-Karte, traumhaft gestaltet in Farbe und Stempel.
Chapeau!
Two gorgeous cards, love the reflection of the trees and colours of the mushrooms.xxx
ReplyDeleteThe dimension you coloured into those magic mushrooms is super & I like the atmosphere you created by the addition of your bat. However, the first is my favourite - that stamp positioned & mat are vital pieces of equipment aren't they? Your blending of the green & the blue at the water's edge is a real delight & the partial framing with your stitching superbly effective in leading the eye to the sentiment - love the way you gave even the stitching a mirror image!

Two beautiful cards, very different from each other but both stunning :)
ReplyDeleteI love both these cards Asha and the reflections of the trees in the water are matched up beautifully and the colours are so soft and the whole gives the impression of a bright winter's day. The colours you have used in the second clash but in a pretty way. Those mushrooms are certainly magical. x
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Asha. I love the soft colours on your tree card and the reflection is lovely. The bright vibrant colours of your second card is super. The colouring on your mushrooms is lovely and seeing a bat in the sky instead of a bird is a really interesting touch. The stitching is great too! Elaine
