From the new Mellow Fruitfulness I picked these scrumptious apples, coloured them with alcohol markers and did a little fussy cutting. I inked the edges of a piece of cream cardstock with Distress Inks to give that warm autumnal glow. Then I stamped a row of leaves from the Autumn Edges set.
The sentiment is from Pretty Poppies, which I stamped on a die-cut circle. I adhered it just off the edge. Next, I placed the fussy cut apples and added an extra leaf from the Autumn Edges hanging overtop. To finish - some red and white twine.
It's a simple card ... but then you really don't have to do very much when working gorgeous stamps.
I'll post details of the products used on my blog. In the meantime, make sure you drop by the Design Team blog regularly for more utterly scrumptious creations by my team-mates.

You're quite right - keep it simple to show off the wonderful stamps - Love it :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have coloured these apples Asha and the background leaves work beautifully, and also the slightly off the edge topper is a nice touch. Love the colours and the sentiment to. x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful . Inspiring me to go create . Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteThis is a smashing card Asha, I noticed it on the publicity e mail and was immediately drawn to the stamps and I had to buy them! Great colouring and I love the way you have used the leaves both for the background and the fussy cut details. The stitching and baker's twine add a lovely home made feel. That sentiment is one of my favourites, I use those often from that set. Great work. Elaine x

Beautiful background and so great the colouring!
ReplyDeleteI love your band of stamped green leaves in the background which draws the eye to the green of your focal image & the extra leaf over the sentiment - the alcohol markers colouring has given a lovely vibrancy to the whole which is beautifully picked up by your use of the twine as accent. The eye really follows the flourish of the "N" down towards the apples & sort of finishes with the tails of your twine. I particularly like the way the sentiment panel goes beyond the card's edge & your twine does the same.
