Hey everyone, are you having a great time?
Yes, Autumn is the greatest season of all, I'm sure everyone loves Autumn colours. I have made you some colourful cards with these colours that I like and with the great Chocolate Baroque Autumn Edges rubber stamp sheet, I hope you will enjoy my samples!
My second card was made with Dylusions Ink and a stencil. First I spread some water on my white card then I used the three different greens of Dylusions Ink. After everything was dry, I placed my web stencil on the background and wiped away the colours a bit with a babywipe. I took my mushroom stamps from the Autumn Poppy rubber stamp sheet and with a wet babywipe and some bleach I made my stamp wet and stamped it on the background of my card. You get a wonderful white mark of the mushrooms, but be careful with your stamps, wash them immediately because bleach can destroy the rubber!
At the front of my design, I stamped my mushroom border stamp with Versamark and black embossing powder then I took a small brush and some bleach to take away the colours out of the mushrooms. When everthing was dry I coloured them in with some alcohol markers, and as a finishing touch I've put some crackle on them, it gives such a lovely realistic view!
Have a lot of fun creating your beautiful Autumn cards for this year. Enjoy!
Greetings,
Maria
Oh, Maria, die Karten sind wundervoll.

Two gorgeous cards Maria,lovely colours.xxx
ReplyDeleteThese are two beautiful cards. I like the addition of the extra leaves on the top one
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see your use of the bleach - it's very striking in your second sample. However, it is the first one that really catches my eye: the colours are so autumnal & I particularly like the way you've created your border of leaves. I'm intrigued by your matting - I'd not have thought of double matting using different reds but the narrower white & kraft layers act as a super foil with the white echoing the veining of the leafy border.

I wish these were sitting on my shelf! They are both delightful :-)

Ha! You say "Yes, Autumn is the greatest season of all, I'm sure everyone loves Autumn colours." - the only way I like them is on a fabulous project like yours......I'm so sick of collecting leaves off my lawns and driveway!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove those trees in the background and all the colors

ReplyDeleteI love these cards Maria. The first looks great with that slightly washy border in those gorgeous autumnal colours and then the Fruits of Autumn border placed slightly in to the card. I am always a bit nervous of using bleach, but it does work well to give a lovely bright white finish on the background of the second card, and also bleaching out the colour on the mushrooms allows the new lay down of colour to be more pure and the crackle gives a very realistic textural effect too. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection of cards, I do love the first one especially though .

Two gorgeous cards by Maria, and this Mushrooms border (well the whole 'Autum Poppy' I think!) is just Wow!!!... Thanks for the loveliness of both cards Maria. Coco x
ReplyDeleteWow, mooi!! De 1e vind ik zo mooi van kleur en hoe je de blaadjes erop hebt gezet. Maar de 2e is mijn favoriet; wat mooi die witte grote paddenstoelen op de achtergrond! Groetjes, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards Maria. The effects you have created on the second card with the bleach is inspirational!
