Hello to you all, I am back again sharing another sample made from the new stamps that have just been released for November
I have first made my background with PanPastels masking off the moon.
The tree image from the Autumn Edges stamp sheet has been clear embossed with black Archival ink, I have then stamped along the bottom and up the sides with one of the images from the Eastern Grasses stamp sheet. The sentiment is from Birthday Words.

I like scenes a lot and this one is a beauty! Great how the texture of the paper gives it an extra dimension!
ReplyDeleteI really love the way you have used textured paper here to add interest to your design. I would be interested to know what sort of paper you used. You have got great depth of the colour in your pan pastel background and it makes a perfect scene for the treescape. The grass adds a super edging. Elaine
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine, I have used a cream coloured Hammered card.I don't remember where I got it.xxx
DeleteLike the use of the textured paper, it gives the scene a little more dimension
ReplyDeleteEine wunderschöne meditative Stimmung mit dem Vollmond.
ReplyDeleteDie Karte gefällt mir außerordentlich gut.
Eine tolle Arbeit, Doreen.

Beautiful card Doreen, gorgeous colour scheme and the textured card really enhances the whole scene :) xx
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely, it could be used for so many occasions just changing the sentiment to suit. TFS.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Doreen, would be suitable for men or women. Love your textured paper, just adds to the atmosphere, is it watercolour paper?
ReplyDeleteNo Susan I have used Hammered card.x
DeleteI would frame this one . Love your cards . Happy day to you and family
ReplyDeleteThis is very atmospheric Doreen and I love the shadows across the moon. A lovely card. x
ReplyDeleteThe wisps of cloud across the moon are very effective & I particularly like the way you have created the effect of the moonlight shining down onto the trees. The black matting gives a super frame & I can imagine that the wet embossed trees would contrast beautifully with the stamped grasses, both in terms of texture & shiny v. matt finish.

This card suits the season very well - here in the Netherlands we celebrate Sinterklaas, and there is a song: Hear the wind blow through the trees, even in the house you feel the wind. Will Sinterklaas still come, now the weather is so horrible?
ReplyDeleteThis card reminds me of such an evening - chilly, windy, nostalgic memories of that song...
Great card!
