Poppy Meadow (by Shirley)

Hello everyone I hope you are doing well.

I have a card today created with the beautiful new Poppy Meadow stamp set.

I applied Tattered Rose & Seedless Preserves Distress Inks to the background using the Acrylic Block technique.    I stamped the Poppy Seed head images with Seedless Preserves but spritzed with water first (after inking the stamp), so it created a watery effect.  I highlighted a little with a white Prisma pencil.

The main image was stamped with Cocoa Memento Dye ink, cut with Spellbinder S4-347 and coloured with my Prisma pencils.  I realized when taking a photo that the Poppy bud should be green to be more realistic, I coloured it like a Rose bud :)   Happy Birthday is from Birthday words.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back often to see the beautiful designs by my talented teammates,

Shirley

  4. The background is magical with the glow & I love the way your edging of the image panel ties in with the card base. The wonder for me is your use of green so selectively & beautifully.
