Beautiful Bride - Mackintosh Style (by Shirley)

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I have a design to show today featuring the beautiful lady from fabulous new  Mackintosh Beauty.  It was fun to play with some of my dies.

I stamped the beautiful lady on mauve designer paper with a faint pattern and added some colour using Prisma Pencils.   After die cutting the flowers from white card stock,  I stamped them with a fragment from Textured Fragments and rubbed a little Tea Dye & Seedless Preserves Distress Ink over the flower after it was glued together.  I also used a metallic luster on the Flourish and added little half pearls.

Diecuts:  Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret (flower) & Bella Rose (flourish), Spellbinder Elegant Labels 4 & Labels 4.

My talented teammates have beautiful designs to show so I hope you can come back here often.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day,
Shirley

  1. A beautiful card Shirley. I love the use of the delicate DP as background and the subtle colouring with pencils. The use of the die cuts to frame and embellish your design is great. The flourish and flower is gorgeous and the delicate frame gives a lovely vintage feel. Elaine x

  5. That's some amazing matching of swirls - the patterned paper, the image & the die-cut flourishes. Very striking with the gentle colouring you included on the image. The pearls really helot to bring out the detail of those flower centres in the stamped image too.

  9. This is such a lovely image, and the die cut frame around it suits it beautifully. The delicate colouring with the Prisma Pencils in pinks and purples is just right and goes so well with the soft toned paper it is stamped on. The colouring on the rose which makes it look like a faded bloom, the metallic lustre on the swirls and the lovely gold background with the pretty pearls all tie in perfectly. A gorgeous card.
