Hello there,
Today my take on the new lovely Mackintosh style stamps. Aren't they beautiful?
I like the Art Nouveau style very much so these stamps appeal to my imagination. I've made two cards in the same colour combination, different shades of blues and silver.
The first one is a concertina fold card with a lot of space to decorate...... I've embossed the panel with Wow blue lagoon embossingpowder and coloured with water based markers and added some silver ink. I've made a collage of some sentiments of the 'Amazing Birthday' sheet and stamped, coloured and decoupaged the flower from the same stamp. I've used the 'Mackintosh Beauty'sheet.
Than on to the 2nd one.......created with almost the same colour combination only this time I've made a background using Distress inks and a mask. I've added texture with the Viva decor Inca Gold, using the colours silver and turkoois. The bow is a Dynamics die and the sentiment is from the 'Amazing Birthday' sheet. This time embossed with silver and using the same water based markers.
a close-up of the texture......
Well, stay tuned and watch for more beautiful art work made by the talented ladies of this team!
Thanks for visiting and hope to 'see' you next time,
Two beautiful cards Miranda, the designs work perfectly in the lovely shades of blue. The silver embossing and Inka gold is a beautiful foil for these colours. Your collage of the word stamps is brilliant. Two gorgeous designs showcasing these lovely stamps. Elaine x

ReplyDeletereally beautiful cards, fantastic colours
ReplyDeleteLovely interpretation of Mackintosh colours, just super
ReplyDeleteYour concertina card is beautifully designed - I like the way only certain parts are visible when it is closed, very effective indeed. The decoupaged flower on the front hints at what lies inside & the collage panel you created is particularly striking in the way it balances the two floral images so well. The sparkle on those flowers is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteYour colours in both projects are a lovely blend especially with the trademark Mackintosh black elements especially with the deep dark blue you used. It's particularly nice to see the way you incorporated the 'Mackintosh dots' into your design with the textured background dots. It all adds to the Mackintosh feel.

How beautiful. I love the colours so much. The concertina style of card is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThese are both lovely cards. The first is much more straightforward in design, but extremely well thought out. The colours are beautiful, and I like the way a little bit of the 'Happy Birthday' shows through when the card is folded. The WOW Blue Lagoon EP is a lovely colour to use, blending beautifully with the other shades of blue, and the colouring on the panel has nice areas of shading which makes the flower stand out to best advantage. The second card has lots of creative flair. I love the stencilled background and the zingy dimensional spots and dots in co-ordinating colours. The panel again is beautifully coloured and shaded, and I love the font of the sentiment, and the die cut bow is a lovely finishing touch. Having it layered up on silver, then lilac on to the purple base card makes that gorgeous background really stand out.
ReplyDeleteWOW! These are all stunning Miranda, I love the colour combination and the card designs which showcase these stamps perfectly.

Bin a bit under the weather for a couple of days and in between that time and my last comment Glenda/CB Designs have released one of, to me, their most beautiful stamp designs ever. Then as I am catching up every member of the DT has created some fabulous and more fabulous each time. I LOVE what you have created - that beautiful rich Prussian Blue is perfect with these stamps and the beautiful embossing powder too. Will have to get these, somehow, thank you for sharing x
ReplyDeleteThese two cards are really stunning, I love the colour combination it's beautiful and you've captured the Art Nouveau style really well with the added metallics. CRM and Margaret are two of my favourite designers/artists and I know I'll be buying these stamps when I have the funds for them.
