Hello everyone, I hope are enjoying the weekend.
I have a card to show today using a fragment from the new Harlequin Fragments Set in the background and a pretty poppy & butterfly from Harebell Butterfly.
The
large background was created with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. I also
stamped the harlequin fragment with the same ink. The smaller
background was created by blending distress inks. It's hard to see in
the photo but I lightly stamped the harlequin fragment again. I
coloured the main image with Prisma pencils.

ReplyDeleteooo the green is amazing - love it - getting excited about whats on the way too! Hugs Rachel x
ReplyDeleteI do like the very faint Harlequin stamping on the smaller panel's background for it provides a lovely subtle echoing of the main background panel. The green of the pencil coloured seed heads chimes in beautifully with your Mowed Lawn background. Your gems pick out the butterfly wings colouring superbly - as I wrote I suddenly saw all the circular elements echoed by the gems too - the 'eyes' of the butterfly's wings & the spots of the harlequin pattern.

Gorgeous creation! I especially love the background with the harlequin stamp and you are so brave with colour Shirley - love every little detail Karen x
ReplyDeleteI always like to see a green card.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and so elegant, and I think the background colour and the harlequin fragment stamped using the same colour brings harmony to the piece. The faint background fragment on the topper can just be seen, and doesn't detract from the pretty harebell butterfly, the colouring of which with the pencils is lovely. The lace and the gems are the perfect finishing touches. x
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Sooo pretty Shirley. Love the green. The addition of the lace is such a great idea.
