Moonlight Butterflies by Doreen

Hello to you all, I am sharing a card today made using the beautiful stamps from the new June release
I have used stamps from the "Briar Rose Butterfly" stamp sheet.
There are so many stamps on these sheets .

I started by masking out the moon and sponging my background with Faded Jeans and Frayed Burlap distress inks. I then inked up my stamps first with Frayed Burlap made sure this was dry then stamped again just under the first stamps with Versamark and white embossed them.
My butterflies were stamped, then coloured with Rusty Hinge and Faded Jeans distress inks, they were then cut out and decoupaged to add some dimension.
I added the sentiment which is from the "Birthday words Unmounted set..xxx

  9. This is so lovely, and the idea of stamping with the distress ink and then stamping again and embossing in white really makes it look like a moonlit scene. The butterflies are lovely, and it is good that there are larger and smaller ones which adds beautifully to the perspective. I love the sentiment font too. x

  19. The sense of movement you created by stamping the foliage inks first in ink then slightly lower in white wet embossing is very dynamic especially when combined with your white pearls of the butterfly bodies. The pearls are eched beatifully by the shapes inherent in those foliage stamps & I love the way the butterfly's wing & the sentiment intrude into the masked moon area.
