The main image for this project is from the August Fairy DL stamp sheet, coloured with alcohol markers. I popped a sunflower on some foam tape to tuck in the card edge. The fairy's wings are heat embossed in silver onto vellum and adhered to her shoulder.
This is a trifold card. The sunflowers are from the June Fairy and July Fairy sheets. The fern fronds are from the August Fairy sheet, as is the silhouette which is heat embossed in black.

For my second card, I started by blending distress inks to create a background reminiscent of breaking dawn. All stamps for this card are from the June Fairy sheet, except for the grassy bits which is from the Wild Meadow A4 sheet.

so pretty Asha - I especially love how you've done that background on the second card - that flower is soooo useful xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a lot going on on the first card. You don't know what to look at first. The background on the second card is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThese are both lovely, and the shape of the first really pretty and the sunflowers work beautifully, especially as a stop to hold the card shut. I love the silhouette on the second with that wonderful graduation of colour and more of the sunflowers with such pretty touches of white pen and the bright purple butterfly to finish. x
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! The second so sunny and the first so elegant!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards and both so different, I love the vibrant colours of the second one

both lovely Asha, but the June fairy one is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Asha, both are very beautiful but you did a fantastic work on the first one!!! Coco x
ReplyDeleteA very interesting construction in that first sample, especially with the way the sunflower acts as a closure. The scalloped edge of the card echoes the scalloped edges of the sunflowers beautifully. The second card is my favourite though - the colours are just exquisite & I do like that tone on tone stamping for the background which allows the silhouetted fairy & hanging foliage plus the butterfly to be the focus of attention. Your grounding of the fairy on 'Summer' is a super touch.
