Good morning I have a couple of cards to share from the lovely Briar Rose Butterfly
and Harebell Butterfly stamps.
I used dies to cut both cards as lately they have been gathering dust and not been used. So with my thinking cap on here's what I came up with.
I coloured the flowers with Coloursoft pencils and was delighted with the strength of colour. I'm still learning to used them.
The flowers on this card were coloured with Promarkers pens and I used Broken China Distress Ink to highlight the embossing on the base card.
These were quick make cards as the original cards I made were given to friends and I had formatted my camera clearing all the pictures.
Thank you for stopping by
Debbie
I love the quirky shape of that first card.

Great shapes! Elegant cards... perfect for a lady...
ReplyDeleteBoth are delightful Debbie. I like your frame in the first way & the way your butterfly i perched straddling the image panel & the frame. The use of the same butterfly for the background stamping in the same colour as the flowers is a real treat & unifies the whole design beautifully. The second sample is equally elegant with the blue stamped frame enhanced by the blue accenting of the embossed base card echoing the butterfly's colouring. A lovely example of colour theory in action with the yellow of the buttercup complementing the mauve in the butterfly - the small amount of each is a lovely subtle touch.

Lovely cards Debbie, really pretty. The second one looks like a piece of china with the soft blue pattern. Judith xx
