fantasy castles (by Veronica)
For my last post this month here are two cards using one of the stamps from fantasy castles, along with my favourite brusho powders.
They are both very simple cards, with the brusho background done first, then the image stamped using black versafine ink over a suitable part of the background. I used A4 sheets of card for the backgrounds, and trimmed them down after stamping the castle -the spare unused bits always come in handy for other projects, so they are not wasted.
I used Lesley's brusho technique to colour in the trees and the domes - sprinkle the powder in the area you want to colour, then use a wet paintbrush with clean water to add the colour where you want it - brilliant for the trees, as you get all the different greens, and you just shake off any excess powder.
On the first card, I added an extra tree by stamping the tree on the left of the image again on the right, and on thesecond card I sponged hickory smoke distress ink through a stencil to create a foreground.

These are both so beautiful Veronica and I love the soft and pretty blue and yellow tones with a lovely mid toned green for the trees. The second with the silhouette foliage to the right hand side leads your eye into the picture perfectly. x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous xx I love them both x
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards and I love the colours of the background. The addition of the tree on the second card gives the scene great perspective. Sandra x
