Hello, Julie here and today I have a floral themed card created with the wonderful Spring Fairy collection that Chocolate Baroque are featuring throughout May.
I have taken stamps from both March and April Spring Fairy sets as they mix so well together. The base card is simply created with Distress inks for the back ground and then the Spring sentiment and butterflies were stamped with Versafine ink. I stamped three of the butterflies onto spare stamping card, coloured with Distress inks and then cut them out before mounting onto the card with 3d Glue gel to add dimension. The tall decorative flower was again stamped with a Versafine ink and then coloured with Polychromus pencils.
Next job is to die cut a heart shape and then stamp three times with the large flower head stamp. Try not to get ink on the flower stem, but if you do just wipe off with a baby wipe before stamping onto the heart. I stamped the lilac butterfly and the decorative scroll that is around the edge of the heart with a purple Versafine and finished off with Aged Paper Distress ink over the top of the design before applying white pen highlights to the flowers.
Thank you for stopping by and please call tomorrow for some more Design Team inspiration.
Julie xx
