A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies (by Julie)

Hello, today I have butterfly inspired projects to share with you.

My first project is a card that I have stamped using Butterfly Mind using a simple colour pallet of reds, yellows and black. I stamped the blank film strip three times around the card, before masking the individual film apertures so that I could stamp the butterflies without them overlapping. (all of the butterflies used are from Butterfly Mind).  The splatter image was stamped around the background with back and red dye based ink before colouring the entire background with Mustard Distress ink. The butterfly film strip in the centre of the card was stamped onto spare card stock, before being cut out and glued onto the front of the card.

These two hearts are made with Chocolate baroque's Artists Trading Hearts. They are made out of very ink friendly, white board that does not need priming.
Both of the hearts have been stamped with Butterfly Mind as before and coloured with Distress inks, however you may notice a grid design in the background and that is the new, small graph paper stamp .

Thanks for stopping by. Please call back soon for more Design Team inspiration.

  1. I adore your card using the butterflies and film strip Julie and the colours are gorgeous, and then the pretty hearts with yet more beautiful butterflies and the graph and splatters look great in the backgrounds also love the green and yellow too. x

  2. Adorable inspirations, love so much the butterflies in the film strip, such stunning idea! And the two hearts look delightful!
