Across the lake by Brenda

Good morning everyone, Brenda here with some of my shares from last months Hochanda shows which featured lots of lovely new Nature inspired stamps.

As I love creating scenes I knew I had to create one using the lovely new Harmony Tree and Remembrance Tree. I started with Pan Pastels and some masks and created the background onto which I stamped the trees using Versafine Black along with some worker stamps to build up the foreground and sky.

The background for this one is a Gelli Plate print overlaid with vellum onto which I stamped 'F' is For and also the definition quote from the same stamp set using Versamark and heat embossing with detail white EP. I coloured the flowers in with watercolour opens abd fixed the vellum in place with brads.

No secret that I love a bit of colour so I threw quite a lot at this one! I masked a square of Drawing Cartridge to create a border then inked the inner section with Oxides, when dry and with the masking still in place I added some circles using a mask and texture paste. Once dry and still with the masking in place I randomly stamped the grid panel from Freedom Flower along with some elements from Small Graph Paper. The large bloom from Freedom Flower was stamped, cut out and coloured and fixed with foam pads along with two Butterflies from Butterfly Mind.

Finally a tone on tone card with some Distress Inks randomly brushed onto the base panel, a border created with the numbers from Small Graph Paper and the focal element from Butterfly Mind all stamped Versafine Calir. I added a little glitter to the centre of the butterflies, it is crystal glitter in theory without colour but it doesn't seem to look that way in my photo!

Have a lovely weekend.
