I chose to make a couple of cards using a variety of colours with one stamp and a sentiment.
The first is Potting Soil Archival for stamping and Peeled Paint ink for water colouring. I heat set the Potting soil to make sure it was set and wouldn't run.
For the second I stamped the leaf with Vermillion Archival Ink and water coloured with a variety of Fired Brick and Mustard Seed Distress Inks.
This card was made using the Potting Soil and Mustard Seed inks.
I love the shape of these leaves and they make great backgrounds. I've had great fun using them and there's five more fantastic stamps in this set.
Thanks for visiting

ReplyDeleteThat's really let your stamps work!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant cards, simple idea but very elegant. Plus this style of card could be used to make a set of notelets in a matching box that could then be given as a gift.

wonderful cards and the colours are just fabby xx
ReplyDeleteThese are delightful - I love the way you've shown the different variations by altering the colours & sentiments used with basically the same layout. The matting adds such lovely cohesion & contrast (if that's not a contradiction of terms). I particularly like the red one but that could be my penchant for the sentiment's font! The watercolouring is a super touch really adding individuality to each design.

Wonderful set of cards Debbie. You have really shown just how effective that little leaf stamp can be. Love all of the colors but My favorite is in the green. I also love the placement of the sentiment. Very stylish.

Beautiful cards Debbie, love the varied colours.xxx
ReplyDeleteI am trying to resist these stamps Debbie, and you're not helping because I love gingko leaves! These really showcase how simple clean stamping can be classically elegant and I love your different colourways. The shading on the red version is especially lovely and I love that font with it. Maybe not suprising as the gingko leaf was a popular motif of the Arts abd Crafts Movement. Smashing work. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteThese cards are lovely and look different using the different colours

I love seeing a card done in different colour schemes. My favourite is the yellow. I'm intrigued by how you watercoloured and stamped two give the leaves a two-tone look.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, love the different colours and loving the leaves.

ReplyDeleteThey are so lovely & what a great stamp.
ReplyDeleteThis gingko stamp works so beautifully on all three cards, and the colours you have used are lovely. I particularly like the font style on the third card, but other than that it would be hard to choose a favourite as they are all wonderful. x
ReplyDeleteYour different Ginkgo leaves are just stunning.
