Elegant edges by Miranda

Hi there,

I've made 3 cards using the lovely Elegant Edges from Chocolate Baroque combined with some other sheets. The first one is made using the Gingko leaf border and the separate stamp of the Gingko leaf. I've made this one in green with gold shades. With all tree cards I' ve used my favorite technique with the acrylic bloc and Distress inks. Did some partial gold embossing and some white embossing on the little rectangle. I've used the text from the Elegant Crocus sheet. I've embossed the little gingko leaf with gold and decoupaged it.

The second one has been done with the honeysuckle border and the main image is from the  Fragrant Honeysuckle sheet from CB. Coloured with waterbased markers in matching colours. I've embossed the card partially with an embossingfolder and added some Inca Gold wax over it. The text is from the Loving sentiments.

And finally the third one with an unusual colourscheme for me......using the Primula edge and some stamps from the Elegant Spring flowers. A lot of decoupaging and the text is from the Fairyland words. I've used waterbased
markers and colour pencils to colour the images.

And finally I've made some smaller cards with the left over cardstock and stamped images.......no need to waste them mmm?

Here they are......

Well, hope to have given you some inspiration with these edges, they are great to combine with some of the other older sheets from CB.
If you have any questions about these, please ask and I am happy to explain.

Thanks for visiting and I always enjoy to read your comments, till next time and enjoy stamping!

  4. Hello Miranda
I'm always in awe of your work!
You seem to be able to do such beautiful things with the simplest of stamps..... but the colours change them into works of Art
Magical pictures Miranda thanks for showing what can be done!

  5. The first gingko creation really caught my eye - it's the way you gold embossed the individual gingko leaves & then cut them out with the little white border which echoes the white embossing on the frame's background. The way you used the leftovers is absolutely superb - I do like the honeysuckle with that loose watercolouring but it is the final one with the Primula & the way you split it on the vertical to create two backgrounds lined up beautifully with the image's stem.
Those little pearls pick up the central are of the centre floret too.

  11. Thank you so very, very much Miranda. Wonderful inspiration and all of these are little pieces of perfect card art! They are all stunning in different ways but I do love the pink one, stunning use of colour but the honeysuckle and orange is beautiful too, the green one would be perfect for a male as it is a bit special and not at all girly, thank you! 12. These cards are all total perfection. The first with the Gingko in the different shades of green shows just what you can do with a couple of stamps. I just adore the reds and golds of the second card, and again with just two stamps the look is so harmonious and finished delightfully with the pretty green mat for the Honeysuckle, and the lovely olive green ribbon. The third with those gorgeous pinks and reds is so bold and the decoupaged flowers up the side are just the right touch I love the stamping in the background too. The other three cards using bits left over are a revelation too. The beautiful colouring which has been achieved is just so perfect. A truly lovely set of cards here.

  14. A wonderful selection of cards Miranda. Your eye for colour is amazing and the different designs so beautiful. I Love your green gingko card, one of my favourite leaves! The pink card is really beautiful and the warmth of the colours on the honeysuckle card really gorgeous. I love the little cards. The piece of embossed and sanded brown card reminds me of an Easter egg!!! Lovely work as always and a beautiful showcase with these stamps. Elaine xxx
