It's the first of the month and you know what that means - we have new stamps!
Our Stamp of the Month is this gorgeous A4 Woodland Fantasy.
If you liked Woodland Dreams, this will go with it beautifully.
Then we have two smaller A5 rubber sets, the first is Spring is in the Air
and a great partner to it is Spring Foliage
I made this tree card with PanPastels and the Spring Foliage stamps which were stamped in Versamark and rubbed over with the paler pastel colours. The flowery trees were stamped separately with Versafine, coloured with pencils and decoupaged onto the background.
I used the asymmetrical tree from Woodland Fantasy as a border around the edge - it works so well for that I can see I'll be using it for more than just a tree.
The sentiment is from Artistic Expressions.
I also made a couple of ATCs
I smudged this one a bit, but I like the layering of the foliage in the background - I used very pale coloured Archival inkpads for both the stamping and the background colours.
On this one, I wanted to create a scene of the first new flowers poking through the snow. I used an Inkssentials white gel pen to whiten the snowdrop flowers and create some snow on the ground, but to make it stand out, I shaded some dark blue pencil around the ground and flowers.
All these stamps are at introductory prices until February 28th 2013 (that includes trade prices too). I'm also going to be doing a random giveaway so please leave us a comment below and who knows, you could be the lucky winner of a stamp set.
The girls have some great artwork to show you with these stamps - I've been oohing and aahing at the previews I've seen - you're going to love them!
my favourite is the spring foliage - such a useful set, will make great backgrounds too. Love the way you used the tree as a border stamp btw
ReplyDeleteLove the way you have used the stamps with the pan pastels.Fantastic samples .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, the stamps all mix so well and the colouring is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love that spring foliage stamp set, can see it would be so useful. I was admiring the main card in your e-mail yesterday wondering where the hanging foliage came from ,now I know. Thanks for sharing such lovely samples x Lavinia
ReplyDeleteSpring Foliage is now top of my wish list! I love the use of the tree as a border too.
ReplyDeleteI love the card and the ATC's, and I adore the stamps. They look as though they will all work together beautifully. They also look great with the pan pastels. I'm sure they will be finding their way into my basket very soon.

Das sind wieder wunderschöne Stempel. Mein Favourit ist "Spring is in the Air". Da kann der Frühling wirklich kommen. Auch die anderen beiden Stempelplatten sind sehr vielseitig. Ich freue mich, wenn ich sie hier in Deutschland bekommen.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße

Oh goodness my little heart was bouncing up & down - the ATCs have me hankering after their little canvases & I desperately need to stamp a crocus - have just seen my little bulbs sprouting poking their heads up.........
ReplyDeleteI love that background stamping you have done with these. Sue has just surpassed herself with these.......& I have ideas flying with Woodland Dreams & Elegant Crocus not to mention Elegant Spring Flowers thrown into the mixture. You don't release a plate where I can't use the image - quite remarkable. I'm saving for ALL of them!
Everything else on the Craft Budget List has just been crossed off!
Can you tell I'm excited????

ReplyDeleteOoh, I can see these being another set that there's just no point in putting away. Most of the stamps that live out on my desk seem to be from you!
ReplyDeleteLove the spring with the new greens and bright flowers - just what we need to brighten these dull days. Great artwork and I love that catkin- very efective!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I don't know where to start with these stamp sets - I'm sure I need them all so they have been added to my wish list for when I've recovered from money spent on the car.
ReplyDeleteFab stamps again Glenda. How did I miss this post!!!! Just put an order through for the spring stamps so if I am lucky I would pick the trees.
ReplyDeleteI have loved that Woodland Fantasy set since you first aired it - the samples being made with it are gorgeous. You have a lot of talent on your team.
ReplyDeleteI love the Spring Foliage set especially. They are all gorgeous but the foliage is really talking to me.our samples really do them justice.
ReplyDeleteGreat new stamps Glenda and your artwork looks fantastic !!
ReplyDeleteYet again I find myself arguing with myself - "now look, you don't need any more stamps, you've got enough" "yes but I really, really want the Spring is in the Air stamps and the Spring Foliage ones because they're absolutely beautiful and just think of all the wonderful cards I can make"
ReplyDeleteI wonder who will win?
Stunning stamps Glenda.
Once again a set of stamps that everyone wants! Not only the first
ReplyDeleteglimpse of spring but also a number of sets which will prove to be very
versatile for a lot of other occasions. These stamps can be mixed and
matched to enable any designer to create compositions of infinite variety.
What a stunning selection! Choc Baroque have done it again. It's so difficult to choose one set from the new range as they all will be useful for putting together designs that will fit any occasion. A really versatile selection and I for one would love any of them.
