Springtime Edges For Easter (by Asha)

Hello there! With Easter just around the corner, I'd like to show you two cards I made by pairing the Springtime Edges stamps with the Easter Traditions set.

On the first card, I've got the Daffodils and Snowdrops stamps from the Springtime Edges together with a cross from the Easter Traditions set; all coloured withTim Holtz Distress Inks.

By setting the solid image behind the foam-mounted cross and adding a coloured border in front, I'm creating a perception of depth and distance.

My second Easter card features the Primula stamp from Springtime Edges with the Daffodil and sentiment from Easter Traditions.

I've applied alcohol markers in traditional Pascal colours on the images.

I hope you're having fun playing these new stamps. The DT will be back with more exciting ideas. In the meantime, have a Sweet and Blessed Easter ... from all of us at team Chocolate Baroque.

  10. So very beautiful Asha. Perfect inking and stamping, wonderful use of colour and a beautiful design. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous stamp art with us. Have a very Happy Easter Karen x

  11. Beautiful Easter cards! There are those lovely Springtime Edges designs too... so pretty! Lovely coloring!

  12. The dimensional aspect in both these cards is lovely, the first I think is my favourite with the silhouette shadows stamped behind the cross. The selective use of the yellow for the scalloped frame & the daffodils plus the petals on the cross as well as the card base really focuses the attention. The stitching is impeccably executed in line with the embossed check on the greencard stock too.
In your second the soft Bundled Sage silhouette daffodis provide a beautiful understated backdrop for the Primula border with it's focal daffodil. I love the soft pastel colours & the way the base card background is echoed by those Bundled Sage daffodils.
