Fabulous Flappers (posted by Claire)

Good morning folks, just a quick post to share another card made with this months new release stamps, Fabulous Flappers

The first background is made with distress inks in shades of green and my ink blending mat, spritzed with water and then mopped up with white card. The next layer was made using Fancy Flourish stamps with shades of Green Memento ink.

The flapper, vase and flowers (all from the sampe set) have been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Graph'It Markers. I stamped some of the flowers around the edge and distressed with some green ink. I added some stickles to the centre of the flowers and layered up over a spellbinders border die cut. I've used Tea Dye distress ink to tone the card I used for matting with the image. To finish off  I've made some little roses and added some punched leaves

Thanks for popping by
Claire xx

  4. I love the way you have used the vertical lines to accent the trims & wrap of her dress in orange, the soft floral stamped edging echoes not only the flowers of her dress but that sprig emanating from the 'urn'. Your grounding of her is lovely & I just love that Memento Fancy Flourishes background. A thoroughly interesting layout.

  7. These colours are pretty with the muted green and the bronzy brown. I love the Fancy Flourish stamp you have used in the background, and also the pretty flower in the vase which you have used around the edges of the topper. The border and the flowers with the punched leaves are beautiful finishing touches. I also love the way you have restricted the colour palette to the two colours which bring harmony to the finished card.
